LESSONS OF WITNESSED GRIEF

The body over a few steps isn't moving.
The chemicals are the only ones keeping it together.
The lights make it pretty,
The flowers make it formal,
The snacks serve as a distraction,
Loneliness is a cruel joke in the face of sure demise.
Your whining matters not.
Swallow your frown and keep your eyes in front.
How can you wish for your end when others wish for another chance?
How can you spit on the gift of waking up?
Don't worry
You'll soon get yours.
It is inevitable.
But the exit is not as beautiful as you think.
The ceremonies only last for so much before it starts to become stale.
So,
For now,
Endure
and
Wait for your turn.
Let things happen properly
Let your finish be something you can be proud of
The caskets won't be going away anytime soon anyways.
