I'm not gonna save the world!
I'm too miserable and apathetic
But
I have faith that some people will.
It's gonna be a doozy for sure.
They will try

Over and over again
But,
They will not stop

They will not rest
Until utopia springs the trap and gets caught.
They will kick nihilism in the face.
They will cure death and make her cry.
Poverty will be forgotten just like an unfunny joke.
This and so much more,
We will be conquerors of not only the universe but also of ourselves.
Time will be required of course.

It is not an overnight feat.
Still,
If I know anything about humans,
I know for a fact that we are stubborn
Maybe tomorrow might not hold so much in store
Maybe all the news will still be sick and twisted
Maybe it's all a goddamn joke
But,
In this game of cosmic stalling,
My money is still on our species.
