The First Day in Fontaine

  Before Wanderer and Nahida left for Fontaine, Nahida stopped at a Sumeru outfitter, much to the surprise of Wanderer. "THIS is the place you wanted to stop before we went to Fontaine? What worth are we going to get from here?" Wanderer asked, annoyed. But in Nahida's infinite wisdom, she had an answer for Wanderer, like always.
"We cannot go to Fontaine as our true selves, or for sure we will be spotted by the Hydro Archon and her citizens, and I really do not want to interact with the Hydro Archon," Or anyone else. I don't want to cause problems for others because I can't understand their emotions. At least I've caused no distress for Wanderer because of this.  "So, I've prepared Fontaine-styled clothing for the both of us!"

An dumbfounded expression passed Wanderer's face before he retained his composure. "Oh. That makes sense." With all the gods I've met, they would have stormed Fontaine and asked for the information themselves.  I guess this is a change of pace somewhat.

Shortly after, Wanderer and Nahida were on the boat to Fontaine, dressed in their own form of the finest Fontaine clothing, much to the disdain of Wanderer. The first boat ride from Sumeru to Fontaine was short, but quite boring for Wanderer and Nahida. After all, they were still surrounded by desert on an empty turquoise sea. After reaching the port, they took the Aquabus to Fontaine City.

Not sure what to do about the awkward silence between them, Nahida desperately tried her best to make small talk. "Is this your first time going to Fontaine, Wanderer?"

Wanderer glanced at her in a slightly annoyed expression. "No, the only nations I've been to are Sumeru and Inazuma." Wanderer said in an oddly peaceful tone unusual to his personality.

Immediately the awkward fell over the two of them once again, while Aeval the Operator watched in silence. The entire boat ride Nahida struggled to find something to say to occupy the awkward silence, but even in her infinite wisdom she could find nothing to say. Unfortunately, it comes to no surprise to me that I can't think of anything that would make Wanderer feel any sort of happiness. Even my time with the Traveler and the others taught me nothing about human emotions.

Before Nahida knew it, they were at Fontaine city, and were ready to begin their search.
