It was night already, and the Cotillion had begun. Everybody had started the party. They all danced and chatted with each other while Mal waited for her queue. Ruby was waiting on the ship with her friends, all dressed in their best clothes.
"The future Lady Mal," Lumiere announced as they gathered near the stairway.
Mal walked out to the top of the staircase, causing the crowd to gasp at the beauty wearing Evie's designed dresses. She walked up to Lumiere, stopping with nervous smiles, but she calmed down a bit when her friends sent the girl a comfortable smile.
"You work it, girl." Lumiere smiled, whispering to the girl, causing her to smile with a slight chuckle before Evie started a cheer, with everyone joining in.
"Yeah, Mal," Evie smiled as she was clapping.
"Whoo!" Carlos shouted with a smile, cheering as Mal walked down the staircase with the spotlight on her.
