ওBELLA parked her car and walked over to chad, alahna, madi, and baylen as chad pulled her into a hug.
across the parking lot, chris sturniolo stared at the couple as nick placed his hand on his shoulder. "chris?" he followed his gaze. "looks like someone has a crush." matt teased.
"it's not like that, we barely tolerate each other." chris shook nick's hand off him as he headed towards school with his brothers following him.
"she is gorgeous though." matt shrugged. "pipe down ladies man." nick joked. "whatever guys, it doesn't matter." chris opened his locker and grabbed his books.
"i'm not into spoiled princesses." he slammed his locker shut at the bell ring.
"welcome back ravens for another excelling day. a quick reminder that tomorrow is the schools' lockdown and all after-school activities are cancelled." mercedes announced over the intercom.
"if you haven't already, don't forget to turn in you're permission slips by the end of the day to the front office. have a good day!" she ended her announcement.
"lockdown?" nick asked as they entered the classroom. chris shrugged his shoulders, not knowing either.
"let's just ask somebody." matt looked at them as if they didn't have brains.
bella tapped her pencil against her desk as she looked up to see matt, nick and chris sitting across from her. "hey, bella." matt waved.
"matt—" chris looked at him irritated. out of all the people, he didn't have to ask her; he ignored his brother of course.
"hey." she lightly smiled. she was expecting to end at that, but he didn't.
"i was wondering if i could ask you something." matt asked. "sure," she said. he pulled up a chair and sat in front of her.
"i was wondering how the lockdown thing works. chris and nick wanted to know but didn't want to ask—" he started.
"you guys never done a lockdown before?" she looked at him.
"no." he replied. "it's basically where you spend a night at school," she answered as she looked around to see a couple of people looking at her and matt.
"alright everyone settle down and get to your seats." mr. fitz eyed bella and matt.
"thanks." he nodded towards her as he took his seat between nick and chris.
