ওBELLA finished turning in her work to her teachers and picked up her new schoolwork for the day.
her mom told her she could take the rest of the day off today and she was glad but she had to go to school fully for the rest of the school year without ditching.
the talk about what happened at heathers party began to die down.
the school eventually found out and have been educating students on black history, while heather got expelled for her actions.
bella walked out of school until she heard madi and alahna shout her name, she turned around to see the two sprinting towards her with their arms out.
bella smiled as she opened her arms as they tackled her into a group hug. "we missed you so much!" alahna said into her shoulder. "i missed you guys too. i appreciate you guys giving me time." bella thanked.
bella told them about what happened with her parents. how they gave her space and time, especially after everything that's happened these past couple of weeks.
"where are you going now?" madi asked her as alahna let go.
"i'm about to go home and do the rest of the work i
missed. my mom is giving me one more day before i have to return full-time again." bella smiled.
"that's sweet of her." madi rubbed her arm. "would you like some company? maybe we can all hang out and study together." alahna suggested.
"i'd love that." bella smiled. "okay, we're gonna go get our work for the day." madi smiled as the two started to walk away.
"wait? how are you guys gonna get out of here?" bella eyed them. "doctors note!" alahna flashed the piece of the paper as the two giggled before they walked away.
bella got into her car and started the engine, letting the car cool down. it was super hot for spring in california.
she played angry birds while she waited for madi and alahna.
bella looked up as she saw alahna plop down in the front seat and madi in the back. "sorry it took so long, we had to give matt and baylen our keys." alahna buckled up.
"wait, you and matt—" bella smirked. "yeah, we're official now." alahna blushed. "since, when! why didn't you tell me?" bella playfully hit her arm.
