Thiam One Shots

8; don't go (part 2)

Summary; The couple goes to the hospital but once they had to go home, Liam saw what he wished was just a nightmare. 

The next morning, Theo woke up to Liam sitting up at the edge of the bed on his side. 

'Haven't you slept?' Theo asked curiously. Liam jumped in surprise. It was like he was in some kind of trance and turned around quickly.

'What? No, couldn't.' Liam said absentmindedly.

'Baby, they are gonna be fine, I'm s-'

'Yeah no, I know that. I just feel like something more is going to go wrong.' Liam explained.

*Time skip*

The couple arrived at the hospital. Liam had checked in quickly and ran through the halls, into the elevator to the second floor and to the patient room of Scott. Theo was creeped out by the hospital because of his nightmares about his sister, but for the sake of his boyfriend he rushed after him, shoving the memories and thoughts away. 

'Scott, I'm so so sorry.' Liam said once he was in Scott's patient room where his mother kept checking her son's vitals constantly. Scott turned to look at his beta.

'It's not your fault, we'll be fine.' He said weakly as he closed his eyes again. 

Liam kept running around in the hospital on the second floor to apologize to his pack for not being there to protect them, but they all said that it wasn't his fault, but the werewolf wouldn't believe them.

It was until Theo dragged Liam away from apologizing that he finally stopped running around. They were told to go home since it was already lunch time and Liam needed to go to work, so was Theo.

As they were walking to the parking lot, to Theo's truck, Liam saw Mason. He waved at him happily and the human boy waved back. 

'NO!' Liam suddenly yelled and Theo eyes widened at the scene in front of them; Mason was impaled by huge venomous claws, right in the chest. When Theo looked behind him, he saw the monster from earlier. Liam wasn't focused on that thing.

He ran up to his best friend and dropped on his knees next to him.

'Mase, please, don't die on me... please.' Liam begged as tears were streaming down his face. 

'P-pl- please, t-tell C-Corey I lo-love him. P-please.' Mason stammered in a broken voice that made Liam shook his head frustratingly. 

'You're gonna tell him himself.' Liam said through tears.

Theo was walking up to them once he knew that running after the monster was useless. 

'Mase, please wake up wake up!' Liam yelled angrily as he saw Mason's eyes closing. 'No no no no no no no!'

The heart rate of the dying boy was slowing down until almost inaudible. Once Liam didn't hear it anymore, he howled one of the most pained howls he had ever let out. Theo dragged him away from his best friend and hugged him tight. 

The Chimera was sure the whole pack would've heard it if they weren't knocked out. He suddenly got a call, so while hugging the crying and angry beta, he took his phone out of his own pocket.

'Scott?' He asked.
'What happened? I hea- I heard Liam howl, is he okay?' The alpha asked.

Theo was surprised, he thought Scott was knocked out, as well as the rest of the pack. 

'Eh, I'll tell you when we're at your room, okay?' Theo said
'Okay.' Scott hung up.

The Chimera put his phone back in his pocket and took Liam's hand. 'C'mon, we have to go. Melissa will take care of the body.' He said.

'The body is Mason!' Liam yelled angrily and shrugged his hand from Theo's. He than ran away.

'Li! Where are you going?!' The other boy asked. No answer. Theo let him go and went inside the hospital. Someone had to tell what happened since Liam ran off. The werewolf boy just needed a moment.

Once inside, Theo was nervous. How the Hell was he going to explain that Mason died without Scott thinking it was the Chimera's fault? 

'Eh, hey, Scott.' Theo said anxiously.

'What happened?' Scott asked worriedly.

'M-Mason, he eh, he-' Theo stopped. He's supposed to be the cold and heartless one, the one not to care and just spill it already, but he couldn't. It hurt him to see his boyfriend like this; broken, hurt and angry. 'Mason was killed.' He blurted out. 'He got impaled by the monster's claws.' 

'Oh my God, how is Liam doing?' Scott asked.

'I don't know, he just took off angrily and I'm worried about him. What if the monster comes back to kill him?' Theo said quietly. 

'He is one of the strongest wolves I know. He'll be fine.' Scott assured him. Theo nodded. 

'H-how are you?' Theo asked uncertain. 

'Eh, I'm doing great, Deaton came by and gave me some serum to make the black stuff leave my body. I'll be healed completely in a few days.' The alpha explained. 

'Good, so... the rest of the pack had the same serum?' 

'Yeah.'

'Good.' Theo said quietly before leaving. 'I'ma look for Liam now.' He said once in the door frame. Scott nodded slowly.

'Liam!' Theo yelled through the woods, hoping to get any sign of his boyfriend. 'Liam?' He called again. Still no reply. So the Chimera followed Liam's scent to a small wood cabin. 

He walked up to the cabin slowly and found the beta crying against the wooden wall of the small hut. Knees against his chest, head leaning on them while covering his face with his arms. 

'Liam!' Theo whispered softly as he sat next the younger boy. He wrapped an arm around the beta. He didn't say anything else anymore. Just sat there next to him.

They got home and went to bed since it was getting late already...
