Shivank  Kashyup is a rude, short-tempered, gunda-type of boy who doesn't care about anyone except his family: his mother, his Niyati bhabhi, and his 2 brothers. He wouldn't care about anyone except these people. However, three years ago, he moved to Delhi to complete his studies and work at the same time. He has completely changed himself, he doesn't laugh wholeheartedly and has a fake personality outside the house. He is dead inside, lost in sadness. Alone.

(I am not talking about you. Don't feel targeted dear.)

I was talking on the phone with my elder brother, Dev, as always. Surprisingly, even though I've been away from him for more than 3 years, he still knows everything about me. He knows when I'll be home, when I'm having a break, when I'm sleeping...everything.

“Oyee, kyaa huaa?” Dev asked, seeing me lost in my own thoughts.

“Haan, kuch nahii...baki sab kahan hai?” I asked curiously. Surprisingly, I didn't hear this 'maami ki behen ki beti' gossip around with my bhabhi.

He moved a little forward, showing Niyati bhabhi and Dev sitting behind him on a cot.

“Kaise ho, bhabhi?” I smiled at them.

“Mai bilkul thik hu, Shivank . Tu kaisa hai?” She asked concernedly.

Nahii, mai thik nahii huuu... I am not fine. I feel like my head would explode any moment, and my body is burning like fire. I am feeling hungry and don't have any power to even cook. I don't even have anything to cook, but I can't say anything to her.

“Mai bilkul thik hu... Ashu Bhai kahan hai?” I gave her a fake smile.

“Yaar, Ashu Bhai to dukan se aaye he nahi” said Dev, disappointedly.

“Yaar, tumlog kya boring boring baate kar rahe ho? Subha se kuch fun and interesting bhi nahi kiya maine” Dev growled whining like a kid.

“Kyun wo chipkali nahi tapki aaj ghar pe?” It was in my routine to ask about her daily. I thought she would fight with everyone and talk to me, but she never talked to me. Maybe she doesn't care about me. I wish she would tapak here, but I don't know why I want to see her, meet her, just like I want to see and meet my family.
