We're Friends

...

We're friends, that's what you said
Companion in life, what I want us to end
Yet, I heard something I didn't expect
Words like daggers, I did take

I want to laugh with you
Like I always do
But my laugh could not last
Heart pump so fast

I want to think I am beautiful
Just the way I am too
But I'm just a foul
Believing something that isn't true

Treasuring my solitude in a bit
I let myself in a minute
Minutes of sadness
Minutes to feel myself again and be selfless

Oh shot! My other half is acting superior once more
I don't want to pity myself anymore
What should I do? my eyes watered, wanting to pour
My body and mind betrayed me once more
