Nighttime fell on Alderaan again. The other scouting team, Moose, and his men all have rendezvous back with Valerie. The clones were sitting by a fire that Rickshaw had made but Valerie stood at the edge of the camp, looking out into the woods. It was a cool night and Valerie was hugging her arms. She wasn't cold but she was worried.
"You alright general?" Valerie turned her head as Scout walked up next to her.
"They should be here by now." Valerie said, looking back out. "What if something's happened?"
"Do you think something has happened?" He questioned.
"I don't know." Valerie shrugged. "Alderaan is at peace right now but I worry for my master and the clones."
"You don't need to worry."
"But I do."
"Valerie, General Amon is a strong man and a great leader. He'll protect those men, and besides, they're just doing recon anyways. They'll be back soon."
Valerie shook her head and turned to Scout. "I have to go out there Scout. I can't help it. I'm worried." Valerie turned to walk away but stopped. In the distance, Valerie saw her master and dozens of clones all walking towards them.
"They made it." Scout commented.
Valerie smiled. "Yes they did. Scout, get the others. We have injured to attend too."
"Yes sir!"
Valerie ran to her master. The two of them paused while the clones continued to move past them.
"You made it! I was beginning to worry." Valerie said.
"Was there any doubt?" Master Amon patted her on the back and they followed behind the clones.
"Maybe." Valerie said. "Rickshaw and I ran into General Grievous, I wasn't sure where he went after we chased him away."
The two of them walked into the camp when Master Amon stopped. "You ran into who!?"
"She held her own against him." Rickshaw said as he walked towards the two of them.
"And the two of you engaged him?" Master Amon folded his arms.
"I'm sorry master, he didn't give us much of a choice." Valerie said.
"I was down for the count and before he could kill me, Valerie stepped in and saved my life." Rickshaw said. "She even managed to cut off two of his limbs."
"Well I'm glad you both are alright." Master Amon said, dropping his arms. "Hopefully that'll be the last time we see him during this occupation, but for now we should all get some rest. We have to make that advance tomorrow. Padawan you are dismissed. Rickshaw with me, I must see these injuries for myself."
"Yes sir." Rickshaw said and followed Master Amon to his tent.
Valerie looked around, she wasn't sure what to do as she wasn't quite tired yet.
"Hey Valerie!" She turned as she watched Moose waved to her. He was sitting at the fire with Scout, Red, and some other clones. "Come sit with us!" Valerie nodded and walked over to the group. She sat criss-crossed in between Moose and Red. Moose handed her a cup. She looked at its contents and saw it was a soup.
"We were just telling Scout here that you may just be replacing him on camp finding. This is a good spot you found." Red said, laughing.
"Yea, normally that's my job, hence the nickname." Scout said. "But Red's right, this is a good spot."
"Well thank you." Valerie said. "But I don't want to be taking anyone's job."
"Nah you're fine." Moose said, he noticed that Valerie hadn't taken a sip of her dinner. "Eat up kid. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. We are finally saving those senators."
