Valerie slowly opened her eyes and groaned. Coruscant's sunlight creeps in through the closed blinds from her window at the Jedi Temple. She sat up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. A yawn escaped from the back of her throat.

Leaving her room, Valerie patted her lightsaber resting on her waistband. It was early in the morning so most of the temple was still asleep but she neverminded when that happened. The quiet halls were peaceful to her.

Valerie found herself walking into the Jedi courtyard. She stood in front of the Uneti tree and could already feel the force of the tree flowing through her.

"I'm sorry, old friend. It's been a while." She spoke quietly and bowed. She never wanted to talk too loud to it. She always felt that her and the great tree had an understanding with one another. "May I sit down?"

Valerie waited for a moment. The wind blew through her hair and the leaves passed by her. She smiled and sat down. Crossing her legs and closing her eyes. She took a deep breath and focused her breathing, slowly mending her mind with the tree.

"I have so much to tell you, old friend." The young Jedi whispered. She continued to quietly sit there, meditating. The wind and leaves blew around her, speaking to her. She listened closely to the great tree.

"I thought I might find you out here." She immediately recognized Master Amon's voice. "Meditating under the Uneti tree is always a good way to connect with the force."

"I'm not meditating." Valerie pointed out, her eyes remained closed. "I am speaking with my friend."

"You're speaking with your friend?" Master Amon raised an eyebrow. "Your friend the Uneti tree?"

Valerie nodded in agreement. "She gets lonely. No one talks to her anymore."

"She?" Master Amon chuckled.

"Yes." Valerie opened her eyes and looked up at her master. "She told me that she is the oldest one here. Even older than Master Yoda."

"That she is right." Master Amon agreed. "The Uneti tree was brought here during the High Republic Era by a master whose name is only remembered in the archives now."

"It's kinda sad when you think about it that way." Valerie looked back at the great tree.

"How's that sad?" He asked.

"That a master brought this tree here for the future generations, only for his name to be long forgotten with history." Valerie sighed. "That will be us one day, our names long forgotten and only collecting dust hidden away in the archives."

"Perhaps." Master Amon held his hand out for his padawan. "It just all depends on how you plan your time in this galaxy. How you wish to be or to not be remembered."

Valerie looked up at him. She grabbed his hand and he pulled her to her feet. "I wish all the Jedi of the past and present would be remembered, even if it's just by one person."

"Well I am happy that I will be remembered once I expire, even if it's only by one person." Master Amon smiled and turned on his heels, leaving the courtyard. "Come now."

Valerie smiled. I don't think I could ever forget you, master. She quickly jogged to catch up to him and she was walking next to her master. His hands were folded behind his back and she copied him.

"Where are we going?" Valerie asked after some time.

"To the Aurelia." He responded.

"The Aurelia?" She looked at him. "I didn't realize we had been called upon for a mission."

"We haven't." He stated. "I want to work on some training, you and I. The training I have in mind, Coruscant just doesn't have the tools we need."

They left the temple and towards the LAAT waiting for them. A little green droid beeped excitedly when they saw the two Jedi approaching.
