"I want to know why you do it."
"Why I do what." he asked, stripping off his overcoat.
He flung it over the back of the couch without much thought as he began unbuttoning his shirt.
"Why you always save me. Every time I'm in trouble you always come...

I was frozen. Partially in shock finding out I shared a fifth bond, but mostly due to his closeness. San was a little touchy before we bonded, but now it was like a dam had burst and everything he'd been holding back came rushing in. He could hardly keep his hands off me. They ghosted over my cheeks, my nose, down my neck, my arms, and to my hands where he intertwined our fingers. My cheeks were on fire. I wasn't used to such close contact with anyone besides my family let alone an incredibly attractive member of one of the royal families. I was caught in his web and he didn't seem keen on letting me go any time soon. His fingers gripped mine gently, tugging me closer so he could nuzzle into my neck. The tickle of his pink hair across my cheek making me jolt as a nervous laugh penetrated the silence. My nervous laughter.
"You're handsy." I said awkwardly.
"Mmhm." He rumbled, ducking further into my neck to run his nose along the column of it.
Something about the sound of it didn't make me think San. And another thought that I hadn't actually taken into consideration surfaced. Just how much control did their dragon half have over their human self? Was there a thin line between the two or did a line even exist at all and the two coexisted simultaneously? My wild thoughts distracted me enough to not notice his hands snake behind me. His palms settled low on my back before roughly dragging me into him, my body pressing tightly against his own.
The abrupt action made me gasp shortly before a noise oddly sounding a lot like a cat purring vibrated through him.
"Alright San. Rein it in." Wooyoung chuckled.
His bootsteps became louder the closer he came to the two of us. His hand coming down on San's shoulder being the first part of him I saw. As he pulled San back, his face came into view, a huge grin stretching across his face as he looked between the two of us. I didn't know why until I looked at San. His eyes out of focus as he tried to blink away the haziness. Feeling a bit worried seeing him so out of sorts, I put my hand on his arm.
"Is he okay?"
My touch appeared to do more harm than good as he began leaning into me again. Except Wooyoung wouldn't let him. Growing frustrated, he gripped my hips, intent on pulling me to him.
"Ah ah."
Yeosang's sudden presence took me aback. His hand covering mine and pulling it from San as his other arm came around my waist to pull me into him and out of San's reach.
"He's okay. Just give him a minute." He answered, nodding to Wooyoung in a silent order to ground him.
"Scent high." Wooyoung smirked, lightly shaking his friend to bring him out of it. "Wicked stuff."
"A what? What's a scent high?"
"When a dragon recognizes a potential mate there's a lot of facets to that acceptance. Smell is a powerful tool for a dragon and so one of the means is acknowledging the mate's scent. So, when they bond and in close contact with each other, our dragon's first instinct is to exchange scents. Accepting yours as you accept his. For dragons, especially newly bonded ones, it's a pretty intimate and intense experience. A mate's smell is intoxicating. Probably most closely relatable for you are narcotics. It's a pretty close equivalent, but nearly three times as potent." Yeosang explained, leading me back to where everyone else sat.
