The Circle

I truly believe that I would be okay living a life of celibacy
An endeavour of purity.
It's comforting to stay inside the circle
Where they told me
"You'll be safe here."
It's safer to not split myself in two.
It's safer to not risk it all for you.
To be an empath is to feel alone.
And maybe I am meant to be alone.
Thinking, feeling, writing
Crying, laughing, smiling.
Living
