Coffee 'date' 4

Sonics POV:

I got up and got ready. Really excited to see Shadow. I don't know why though, I just met him yesterday. He's cute if I'm gonna be honest, plus seeing him and talking to him is getting to know him better. I checked the time. 9:34 oh well I guess I'm gonna sit here for an hour and thirty minutes. I sat on the couch and watched TV.

Shadows POV:

I've been up since 5, for some reason I feel nervous. It's just a meet up. Plus I just met the guy and all. I don't know it's like 9:35 or something so I still have a while. I wonder if he's awake yet, might call him to just sure we're still meeting up.

I picked up my phone and called him.

"Hey Shadow!"

How the hell did he know it was me? I haven't even put his number in my phone yet... Anyways.

"Hey. Are we still meeting up at 11?" I asked checking the time.

"Yea, unless you want go ahead and leave now. O-or if you can't make it that's completely fine. "

" No,I'll leave now if that's fine."

"Yea that's fine I'm already ready" Sonic laughed.

"Well I'll see you there."

"Alrighty then bye!"

This time I hung up. And then I got ready. I went over to the coffee shop and Sonic saw me.

He appeared in front of me within seconds.
"Hey!" He smiled.

"Hey." I shook his hand and opened the door for him.

"So he hows your day been so far?" Sonic asked.

"Decent. Yours?" I asked walking up to the counter.

"Great actually." Sonic said.

We ordered and then sat down.

"So what kind of business do you do?" Sonic asked.

"I travel around the world and rate food, hotel's, etc. I do all kinds of stuff. What about you?" I asked.

"Well I'm doing financial stuff nothing really important about that."

If he does financial related things maybe he stole money and that's why I'm here,I don't know.

"So anything good here so far?" Sonic asked.

"The coffee." I said.

"Heh so where are you from?" He asked.

"Literally the other side of the world. I'm just staying here for a month." I told him which was true.

"Oh wow cool." Sonic said.

I looked at the door and froze. Rouge..
She didn't see me but she saw Sonic.

"Sonic?"

Sonic turned. "Rouge!"
How the hell do they know each other?

" Shadow? Ooh this is your mystery date?" Rouge said winking.

Sonic blushed making me blush and Rouge caught it.

" I never said that Rouge."

"Wow can't believe we all know each other." Sonic said.

"Yea Shadow since your with Sonic, we met at my wedding which you didn't show up to." Rouge said.

"I was too far away at the time I wasn't going to be able to make it." I told her.

"Knuckles and Sonic are good friends and yea, I'm glad you two are getting along." Rouge said.

"Heh yea, well too bad I didn't meet you then." Sonic laughed.

I faked a smile and went up and grabbed our coffee's.

Sonics POV:

I watched Shadow grab the coffees and then Rouge sat down.

"You think he's cute huh?" Rouge said.

"What? Rouge come on I just met him." I said.

"But is he?" Rouge asked raising a brow.

"Yea I guess..... Anyways how are you and Knucks?" I asked.

"Great, he's his stubborn self as usual but hey he's good in bed so ya know " She said looking back at me.

I didn't want to know that but ok then.

"Ahuh well y'all plan on having kids?" I asked.

Ok look I have no idea how to start a conversation with Rouge out of all people, I tried.

Rouge shrugged. "We've talked but we're just so busy all the time so I don't know."

Shadow came back with our coffee's, and sat down.

"Hey Shadow what about we all go to the mall?" Rouge said.

I looked at shadow and he looked at me. I quickly looked away because man he's hot.

"I guess." Shadow rolled his eyes.

"Well what about we meet at the mall around 1, you know so you and Sonic can finish y'all's little date." Rouge winked and left.

"It's- sorry you know how Rouge is." Shadow told me taking a sip of his coffee.

"Yea, she's a lot but Knuckles loves her....a lot." I shivered to what Rouge had said earlier about Knuckles. That comment will forever stay in my mind.

"You sure you want to go the mall with Rouge?" He asked me.

"Yea plus more time with you the better." I smiled.

Why the hell did I say that?! Ugh! Cringey cringey CRINGEY...

Oh wait he smiled? Ok not a big fail.

Shadows POV:

So he wants to spend time with me? I mean that's a good thing right?

"So have you always lived here?" I asked.

"Yea, I'm was gonna move but when I became manager I decided to stay here " Sonic said messing with the whipped cream on his coffee.

"So you wanna go for a walk or something?" Sonic asked.

"We can if you want." I told him.

"Well I don't want it to feel as if I'm forcing you, what do you want to do?" He asked.

"I guess I wanna go for a walk." I said.

He laughed "you guess? I'm not taking 'I guess' for an answer."

"sure I'll go on a walk." He sighed.

He smiled and then got up.

We walked out and went to the park.
