Chapter 14

Motivation

Not only has Ella and Normani been spending a lot more time together, Ella has decided to also sit with her at Rihanna's table. Rihanna's squad didn't mind, but Beyoncé's squad had different opinions. Dinah and Ella were not separating from the group and it had definitely brought tension within the group. Zendaya and Rameer had been a pair, not a couple but buddy buddy, Chloe and Halle had separated themselves to focusing on their dancing, and Kehlani has been trying to bring the group back together but failed.

"Ella, they are ignoring me." Kehlani huffed, sitting on the floor.

"You shouldn't sit on the floor lad." Ella shakes her head.

"I'm staying loyal to my squad." Kehlani states and Rihanna smirked.

"Just like a true dog." She remarked and Kehlani jaw dropped.

"Wow." Ella puffed out a breath of air.

"Nice one." Solána gave Rihanna a high five.

"I think I fully analyzed this whole situation and why you're group is torn apart as well as found a solution to your problem." China spoke causing Kehlani to pop up and sit on Gabriella since she didn't want to sit on the silver lining of the bench.

"Continue." She gestured.

"Can you get off of me?" Gabriella huffed.

"I will when China is done." Kehlani replied, ushering for China to continue.

"Ugh." Gabriella just accepted her fate, she knows she isn't stronger than Kehlani so she won't even try to push the girl off, she is also stubborn as well.

They both are.

"The solution is the person eating chocolate." China tells her and they all looked at Normani to see her slow down her chewing and began to put away her chocolate.

"Oh that make sense, she is the reason why the whole group is disbanded right now so she is also the solution!" Kehlani shot up and Gabriella lets out a sigh of relief.

"I just want to exist in peace." Normani frowns causing the whole squad to coo.

"Come, you as well!" Kehlani grabbed Normani and Ella's hand and practically dragged them to Beyoncé's table.

"My poor child." Rihanna pouted.

"You're not making an effort to help her." Willow stated and Rihanna shrugged.

"She'll be fine." She smiles and the squad just laughs.

Normani presence caught everyone's attention until their eyes fell onto Kehlani climbing on the table and nearly stepping on all of their food.

"I know you all are beefing but! Here me out! We get all of our emotions out calm, cool and collected." Kehlani suggested and it stayed quiet.

"I'll go first, you two are acting ridiculous because neither of your crushes like you back. Get over yourself mate and move on." Ella spoke calmly to Zendaya and Rameer but Rameer wasn't so 'calm, cool and collected'.

"Oh shut the fuck up Ella, you just got here so you don't get to tell us what to do." He hissed and Ella furrowed her eyebrows.

"Rhino, more than half the students here hates you." Chloe stood up now with her arms crossed.

"No one wants you Romeo." Halle also stood up, one hand on her hip.

"And, Retro, you'll never even have a chance with Normani." Chloe continued.

"She barely even remembered you, Rhombus, existed." Halle clicked her tongue and Kehlani jaw drops once again, her plan going into shambles.

"Well, I don't care if Dinah likes me back or not. I want her to stop lying to all of us about her feelings and or for her to stop obsessing over a her." Zendaya had joined into the drama.

"Jesus you're so delusional it's mockery." Dinah laughed, emotionlessly.

"Um." Normani looked at Kehlani who sat down on the table with her head in her hands. The constant bickering between the group had honestly started to agitate her and the one thing she didn't like is when people agitated her. So she grabbed one of the glass water bottles and smashed it onto the table catching everyone's attention once again. "Listen, I'm not a loud person so I'm not going to shout to get all of yours' attention nor am I much of a speaker. But! What I do know is that you are all so stuck up with this unnecessary hatred that you didn't even notice Kehlani crying on the middle of the table you all eat and bond at. So I'll just say this. Zendaya, I don't like Dinah and if she likes me then oh damn well, I'm not going to get in the way of her success nor will she get in the way of mine. Rameer, I'm not looking to date someone like at all and from what I heard, you are the last person I'd ever consider dating. Chloe and Halle, you need to get over his past, I know you hate him but he is still a part of your squad so you're going have to accept that he exist. Kehlani, I appreciate what you're trying to do but you really need to handle your own problems before trying to solve others, this is clearly traumatic for you. Ella, I appreciate you being my friend and maybe the rest of your squad can learn to be friends with people who are outside of their squad but these are still your people so even when you're bored, you should hang with them as well and actually get to know them. Dinah...I really have nothing to say to you. But what I do know is that I will not let history repeat itself. You have changed since we were younger and I want to show you how when we go against each other. Beyoncé may have beat Rihanna with her style of dance but that will not happen this time. Since you are a copy of Beyoncé, I will become a copy of Rihanna then become better because that is what we are meant to do and when we set foot in that arena. I will open your eyes, that is what backup dancers do. Their eyes are always open and watching, for when they will become the main." Normani concluded and everyone just had widened eyes.

Everyone including every squad, including her own. They have never heard the girl speak so much or speak at all, nor did they ever see pure confidence from her. But as she said she would, she is not letting history repeat and what she did was shut the whole of Beyoncé squad up, and maybe even brought them together. Even stronger than before.

"That's my little Korgi." Rihanna randomly appeared and hugged Normani causing her to yelp. "Aww don't growl, here, have some chocolate." Rihanna offered and Normani took it, nibbling on it as soon as it opened.

"Well you heard her, what are us lot going to do about the issues in our group?" Ella smirked.

"Screw Beyoncé's deal, we are going to destroy Rihanna's squad." Kehlani wiped her tears and smirked too.

"Challenge accepted." Gabriella appeared next to Normani with a wide smile.

"Uh oh." Alicia shakes her head and her squad gave her a worried look.

Now with the new found fire burning through Beyoncé's squad core, she had no faith in winning the next competition.
