Chapter 29

Hamilton

"You know, it makes sense on why you're my wife now." Dinah tells Normani as she is doing Dinah's hair in preparation for the play.

"Why's that?" Normani hummed.

"Your last name is actually Hamilton." Dinah reveals and Ryan stops applying mascara.

"It is?" She tilts her head, learning ever so much about the girl.

"Yes." Normani confirmed, finishing Dinah's hair and Dinah stood from her spot and pecked Normani's lips before leaving to find Kehlani.

"Are you two planning on doing the kiss after Helpless?" Ryan sits next to Normani.

"I don't know." Normani smiles softly as she touch up her dress.

"You should, surprise Dinah and the audience." Ryan encourages.

"I suppose..." Normani trails off before standing and Ryan smirks.

"Isn't Dinah's favorite color blue?" She teases causing Normani to blush.

"How do you know that?" Normani squeals.

"I have my ways, she's going get a nose bleed." Ryan stood.

"I wish you were one of my sisters." Normani giggles.

"We'll settle for the latter, now let's go." Ryan held out her hand and Normani took it as they walked out the room like sisters.

Kehlani decided to add a little twist to the story so that it wouldn't exactly but a replica of the original version. She made Hamilton look more like a prince then intended but it was meant to show him well her in this case to be a warrior, a respected one until obviously not as much. Once the play had begin, Solána walks up beginning the first song, Alexander Hamilton. Everyone was enjoying it, especially any segments with Ella, Kehlani, Montero and Dinah then there was Chloe Normani and Gabriella, their dynamic was amazing.

"Y'all not even married yet and you're gawking." Kehlani broke Dinah's admiration at Normani's performance.

"Nothing wrong with Alexander having a crush on his future wife." Dinah blushed.

"Uhuh." Kehlani muttered unamused.

As the play's continued, it was now time for Helpless and Rihanna, who was in the audience, was most excited for. The set obviously started with Normani then Chloe flirting with Dinah, then Dinah and Normani meeting and Chloe letting them be. The song then transitions until the wedding where Dinah is still in her blue uniform and Normani is put in light blue wedding dress which the girls had to change on stage during Dinah's little rap vows and when Dinah was done, she held out her hand which Normani took and it took everything in Dinah to not mess up on her words because of the girl in front of her, she was drop dead gorgeous. Once the song was nearing its end and Ryan nudges Normani which caused Normani to blush. Taking a deep breath, pulling the her courage together, she slowly cups Dinah's face and brought their lips together causing the audience to make a mix amount of noise but it was with good intentions. The kiss caused everyone on stage except for Zendaya and Rameer because their jaws were dropped to begin cheering. Once they pulled away, Dinah face was now flushed and Normani was trying to hide her smile but was failing miserably. A about 30 seconds went by before Kehlani interrupted.

"All right all right, that's what I'm talking about!!!" Kehlani exclaimed queuing the start of the next song making everyone get into position.

The play continues but no one would forget the kiss, Dinah lips still tingles, she doesn't know why though because the two has done much more than kiss each other but that kiss felt different. A piano appears at the end of Satisfied which Normani plays the end tune of surprising most. Then Rocky appears next to her, they don't remember the boy being up there, some not even knowing who he is but Rihanna was now fully invested as the two sung together. Then when it was his turn to rap.

"Daddy, daddy look." He starts and in just like the actual musical, Normani starts beat boxing. "My name is Philip, I am a poet. I wrote this poem just to show it. And nah, just turn nine. You can write rhymes but can't write mine." Rocky continues and everyone coos.

"WHAT?!?" Dinah fake shocks causing everyone to laugh.

Once Rocky finishes, he runs off stage and to his mother who scoops him up with praises and kisses.

After another hour or so, the play has ended and everyone gets on stage with Rocky in the middle then bows. It took at least 20-30 minutes just to exit the theater since everyone was still on adrenaline from their successful performance. Kehlani invited them to the beach where she pops champagne and they celebrate, and get drunk.

"So you two?" Gabriella slurred.

"Are dating? Yes." Normani giggles, then ushers for the girl to slow down.

"About time." Solána sighs.

"Congratulations!" China exclaims, also drunk.

"About time indeed." Megan cheers which almost everyone joins in on.

"I'm still going to beat you." Normani took a sip of her drink.

"We'll see." Dinah shrugs.

"How do you feel knowing that your girlfriend whooped you Ms. Undefeated?" Normani teases.

"I wouldn't care since I care more about my girlfriend winning than losing." Dinah tells her truthfully causing Normani to blush.

"Awwwwww." Some of them cooed while Normani blush deepens, they can't see on her face that's she's blushing but they can definitely see the confidence strip from her eyes after Dinah's statement.

"The day is approaching quite quickly, we spent 3 months on the play." Montero whines with a sigh as he sits down.

"We should make bets, I put 100 on Normani." Ella declares.

"Rude, you're on my team." Dinah huffs.

"So what?" Ella smirks and Dinah then rolls her eyes.

"I hate British people." She muttered causing Ella to laugh.

"Haha! I'll back up the Golden Warrior. 100 on Dinah." Kehlani nods her head confidently then everyone started placing their bets, surprisingly more in favor of Dinah winning since she is more experienced, well since they think she's more experienced.
