Chapter 26

Sleepover

"Hi Dinah." Normani says after opening the door to the girl who held up chocolate as a gift and permission to enter.

Normani took them and left the door open so Dinah could enter which she did.

"Wanna practice some lines wifey?" Dinah closed the door behind her flopped onto Normani's bed.

"You do know that Alexander is obviously in love with Angelica?" Normani placed the chocolate in her mini fridge then grabbed one for herself, as well as a water.

"Is Angelica my wife?" Dinah rose an eyebrow and Normani finally locked eyes with the girl.

"Fair enough." She sat down and pulled out the script.

"We should do our duet." Dinah sat up and pulled out her phone, she had the lines on there.

"You practiced your vows already?" Normani questions.

"Vows?" Dinah looked at her with a confused expression.

"His little rap part during the wedding." Normani explained briefly.

"Oh, yeah." Dinah confirmed and Normani nods, turning to their verse.

"Okay, let's do the duet then." She ushered and Dinah grinned. After practicing a few more times, they rehearsed other parts of the play with each other. Then an idea sparked in Normani's head. "Come with me." She shoots up and Dinah struggles but catches up to her.

"I- Where are we going?" Dinah wonders but they were already at Rihanna's room and when they knocked.

The next morning the door swings open and Rihanna is dressed in an oversized shirt, messy hair and a toothbrush in her mouth, Dinah jaw was on the floor.

"Rihanna on her off day, this is unseen." Dinah pretended to take various pictures and Rihanna only rolls her eyes, leaving the door open so they can enter.

"Hey big sissy." Rocky hugged Normani's legs and Normani hugs him back.

"Wanna help us with something?" She asks.

"Sure!" Rocky answered happily.

"You didn't even hear what it was." Rihanna reappears without the toothbrush.

"I don't care, I'm bored." Rocky shrugs.

"Okay, you'll be our "9 year old poet son"." Normani explains and Dinah pulled a face of realization.

"What are you kids getting into?" Rihanna questions.

"Hamilton, Kehlani's directing it." Normani reveals.

"Ke- Have fun." Rihanna realized what was just said and decided to mind her business.

"Can you read?" Normani asks the boy.

"No." He shakes his head.

"Fair enough." Dinah laughs, also crouching down to the boy's height.

"How good is your memory?" Normani continues to question.

"Very good!" He exclaimed proudly.
