Chapter 40

One More Time

The summer has ended and the new season had begun in the facility. New recruits had arrived and their attention was focused on Normani and Dinah. Rihanna had shockingly recruited more than 1 person into her group and like the other newcomers, they looked up to Normani.

"Layia and Gloria—" Rihanna greeted but was cut off by Layia throwing up her hand.

"Lay Bankz please." She flashed her bright smile.

"GloRilla for me." Gloria spoke and Rihanna rose an eyebrow in confusion.

"Stage names." Normani whispers to Rihanna and she blink a few times.

"Oh okay..." Rihanna trailed off. "How about Lay and Glo?" She asks

"Sure." Layia answers first.

"I'm okay with that." Gloria agrees.

"Right anyways, here's the schedule..." Rihanna tells them the same schedule as last year then they made their way to the cafeteria for announcements from Beyoncé.

Rihanna was suppose to be the at the top since her team won last time but Rihanna denied so she could continue to be a mother and Beyoncé was a better leader than her anyways, in her opinion. Once they made it to the cafeteria, they sat down at the silver lining table but Normani sat at another table with Dinah.

"Hey Manz." Dinah greeted as soon as the smaller girl walked up to the table.

"Hi Mufasa." Normani smiled and hugged her girlfriend, Dinah took that as an opportunity to pull Normani on top of her so Normani would be sitting in her lap.

"Perfect." Dinah gave her a grin and Normani rolled her eyes as a giggle escapes through her lips. "Last year though right?" She questions.

"Mhm." Normani hums, laying her head on Dinah's shoulder.

"Damn, I'mma miss seeing you on stage." Dinah reminisced.

"Stalker." Normani jokes and Dinah grin widens.

"When it's you, I most certainly am." She admits and Normani burst into fits of laughter.

10 Months Later...

"And...that's the last box." Rihanna let out a breath as Normani laughs.

"Your mom is getting old." She whispers to Rocky who giggles as well. "But anyways, thank you all for your help." Normani tells the guest in her new home.

"Can't believe you are leaving me." Beyoncé fake wiped tears.

"Where she goes I go, not making that mistake again. No offense..." Dinah shrugs, looking around the apartment with a small smile placed on her lips.

"None taken, do what you gotta do for love." Beyoncé pats Dinah back then sat down.

"From children to adults, you two are still together." Rihanna also sits down and Dinah smirks.

"Almost like we are soulmates." She wiggled her eyebrows at Normani.

"Oh I still have that photo from Jamaica." Normani went to a box that is labeled as 'bedroom'.
