This Was Your Plan?

I grasp my gun at my side, out of view of the other three men at the bar. I notice the two businessmen have already fled, but the supposed bodyguard remains in the room. I eye the door to the main hall cautiously, and through the pane of clouded glass I see figures moving quickly in the direction of the exit to the hall. I can hear shouts and screams, followed by few more shots ringing out.

I get down from my seat and walk slowly towards the door in an attempt to get a better look at what's going on. If this was Suguru's plan to take the targets out, then it's not really my style.

Before I reach the door, it's flung open and I raise my gun in it's direction. A sigh of relief and courses through me as I see it's Suguru and he shuts the door quickly behind him before pulling me by my wrist to the other side of the room. I look at him in confusion as he does so, and he turns to me finally as I wrench my hand out of his grip.

He looks stressed and is breathing heavily, unsurprisingly, as if he was just engaged in combat. His gun is hanging loosely in his grip by his side and I can see a smear of blood across his cheek. I can tell it's not his though as he seems to not be injured.

"This was your plan?" I ask him whilst I reach up to his face in an attempt to wipe away the blood with my thumb. Before my hand even makes contact, he bats it aside as a frustrated expression spreads over his face.

"No, we've got a problem, someone else has got involved." He tells me and I nod in understanding. Before I can question him any further however, I hear a chair squeak against the floor from behind Suguru and I side step quickly to get a better look. I see the bodyguard from earlier now having risen from his seat and reaching at his waist to pull out a weapon.

Before he can do so, I raise my gun and shoot him directly in the arm he was using to reach for his gun. Suguru whips round with his gun raised too, just a second later than me. I watch as the man reels backwards from the shot and his back hits against the bar. He them falls abruptly to the floor as he writhes in pain on the ground, now too preoccupied with his wound to think to reach for his weapon.

"You can thank me later." I say to Suguru before walking over to the man, and he rolls his eyes in response.

"Fuck you..." The man groans out as I crouch down to him.

"It's not personal." I say as I reach into his jacket pockets, moving aside his wounded arm and earning a yell of pain from him as I do so. I pat him down but find no ID.

"Bodyguard, right?" I ask as I raise myself back up on my feet. The man gives me an apprehensive look in response, so I know I'm right. "Zenin?" I ask and he looks to the side. "Gojo?" I ask again but it brings no response. "Kamo?" I finish with and I see his jaw clench slightly. "There's your answer." I say as I turn round to Suguru who's peering through the glass pane of the door back into the main hall as shots continue to be heard from time to time.

"I already knew that." He says simply and my face falls flat.

"You're telling me I pat him down for nothing?" I say annoyed as I look down at the writhing man before me, my hands now tainted with his blood. Suguru walks back over to where I'm standing suddenly and places one of his hands on my shoulder in a serious manner, levelling his face to mine as he does so.

"This is what we're going to do." He tells me and I quirk an eyebrow at him. So now he wants to actually tell me the plan? "There's a back exit through the reception and drawing rooms." He says, gesturing to a second door to the right of us. "Their men have already infiltrated them, but if we clear them out we can get to the exit." He finishes.

"Why don't we just take back control of the main hall?" I suggest and Suguru shakes his head.

"It's too open, and they've concentrated their men there. It's a safer bet to go out the back." He says as he makes his way towards the door.
