SUGURU'S POINT OF VIEW, THE FOLLOWING MORNING:
After a night of restless sleep, Suguru wanders into his kitchen to find Satoru seated at the table. Satoru gives him a brief stare before focusing his gaze back down towards his phone."Two weeks?" Satoru says suddenly. Suguru doesn't even look in his direction. He knows that he must have heard the conversation that you had practically outside Satoru's room last night. Suguru hears his chair scrape backwards along the floor, signalling that Satoru is getting up from his seat. "What the fuck are you up to?" Satoru says as he walks over to where Suguru is standing.
Suguru gives him a nonchalant shrug in response, earning an even more annoyed glare from Satoru.
"You're bullshitting, if you wanted to, you could click your fingers and she would have a new life and identity." Satoru says. "Why two weeks?"
"I don't owe you an explanation for any of my actions." Suguru says, eyeing Satoru out of the corner of his eye.
Satoru remains quiet for a moment. "Tell me, or I'm going to tell her everything." He says and Suguru turns to face him with a cold expression.
"You want to know why I said that? Why I terminated our agreement? I don't even know myself." He says finally.
Satoru's eyes narrow in Suguru's direction, trying to figure out whether or not he's telling the truth.
"I don't believe you." He spits back. "You know why, and I do too." Satoru says, pointing an accusatory finger at Suguru. "This isn't about the agreement, it's about her, isn't it?"
"Arguing this early in the morning? God, do you two ever take a break from being at each other's throats?" Suguru and Satoru's heads both turn towards the direction of your voice quickly as they watch you approaching the kitchen. Satoru straightens his posture and Suguru puts back on his charming smile whilst flashing you his teeth.
"It's how we show our love for one another." He says as Satoru sulks back over to his chair.
BACK TO Y/N'S POINT OF VIEW:
I rub my eyes repeatedly before walking over to the fridge next to where Suguru is standing. I can't deal with their antics this early in the morning, especially with the pounding headache I've managed to wake up with."Sure." I say in an unconvinced tone whilst reaching into the fridge for something to eat. I feel Suguru's gaze on me as I do so and I know he's trying to gauge how I'm feeling after last night. I don't even know how to feel.
"I've got one last job for you." He says and my head turns towards him in confusion.
"Last night you said..." I begin but my words trail off.
"It's a protection job, after it's done I won't ask anything more from you." He says, causing me to let out a sigh.
"Protection? For whom?" I ask, shutting the fridge and turning towards him with my arms crossed.
"Me." He replies, causing my brow to furrow in confusion as I let out a short laugh.
"You need protection? Yeah, funny joke Suguru."
"I'm serious." He says simply, his expression being one of sincerity.
I unfold my arms and adjust my posture. "Okay, so whereabouts are we going?"
"That's something you don't need to know yet." He says, his expression breaking into a grin.
I roll my eyes in response. "If you don't tell me, I won't go."
"Oh no, you're coming alright." He says before turning to leave the kitchen.
"Suguru come on, can't you just make this easy for once?" I shout to him as he walks off down the corridor. I watch as he glances back over his shoulder at me briefly before responding.
