Over the next few days, Suguru continues to train with me. In total I've managed to beat him three times, but I can still tell he's holding back against me.

"Again." He says as I wrench myself up from the ground, having just been slammed into the floor by a fatal kick. I get into a fighting stance and he gives me an approving look. We lurch towards each other once again, a collision of punches and kicks as Satoru watches from the sidelines. He's become my biggest supporter and has even offered to train with me separately for the sole purpose of helping me beat Suguru.

Just as my fight reaches a crucial point, I hear a phone ring out from another direction in the room. My head looks towards the sound of the noise briefly, and in the split second that I'm distracted, Suguru has managed to sweep my legs out from under me and causes me to go crashing to the ground. He steps away from me and I shoot Satoru a glare.

"You distracted me." I tell him and he waves a hand at me, now engaged in a phone call as he paces out of the room for privacy. I turn my attention to Suguru who stands above me, propping myself up on my elbows as I do so.

"You lasted longer that time." He states and I raise my eyebrows. He gives the weakest compliments.

"Yeah, and I still ended up on the floor." I say and he shakes his head from side to side in response.

"I'm willing to send you out now." He says and my eyes light up. As odd as it is to say, I've missed my work. I know it's for my own safety, but being cooped up in Suguru's estate (no matter how big it is) feels a little restrictive.

"Really?" I ask and he nods before offering his hand out to me. I stare at it, frozen for a few seconds. He's never offered his hand out for me to help me up, not once out of all the times I've gone crashing to the ground. I reach my hand up and take it quickly in fear he might retract it. For some reason, him offering his hand to me feels more meaningful than any words of praise that could come out of his mouth.

I jump to my feet with the help of his grip, giving him a smug smile as I do so.

"It's going to be clearing up what we failed to finish five weeks ago." He tells me and I nod. "You can handle it?"

"I can handle it." I affirm and his lips curve up into that classic, charming grin of his that I've got to know so well over the past few days.

Over the next 24 hours, Suguru decides to overload me with information. If I thought my planning beforehand was what helped me on jobs, then I'm going to be better than ever now. The information he has access to (being a Yakuza family head) is extensive to say the least. Everything from building plans to the exact makeup of the locks on the doors is available, aiding me hugely in my business.

I remember he told me not to rely on my planning a few days ago, but I think that now we've trained together a few times, Suguru knows that I'm physically capable of winning a fight and is willing to let me plan to my hearts content. A few more days pass, and so does the job. It goes without a hitch, all three targets eliminated within the space of three hours. Satoru told me he was impressed, and Suguru just gave me a reaffirming nod. I've got used to not expecting any more from him though.

After I return home, I take a long shower and dress into some comfy clothes. Being outside of the estate (even if it was just to complete one of Suguru's assignments) felt tiring for some reason. Do you know what I'll never get tired of though? Seeing my bank balance go up. In the last few hours my account has had multiple, huge deposits from paper companies and offshore accounts. Suguru's true to his word, I'm being well compensated for my work.

After partially drying my hair using a towel, I exit my room, only to be hit with the smell of cooking. I just wanted to get a snack, but now I'm intrigued as to what Satoru or Suguru could be making at this hour. I walk down the corridor warily, slowly entering the kitchen to see Satoru seated at the counter and Suguru standing by the stove.
