POV AyanokojiThe sports festival ended in mid-October, around the time of year when it started to get cold.
The school held a general election to decide who would be in charge of the next student council. Immediately after the election, the school inaugurated the student council handover ceremony. It was a large-scale event that brought together students from across the school all the way to the gymnasium. However, for most first-year students, it was a very uneventful experience. They were sleepy, but they were trying to be quiet and slow their breathing so the teachers and students wouldn't notice.
Shinichi had told me that he had prepared for the elections and that it wouldn't be a problem. However, we all know that Nagumo will not stand by as his rival prepares to take over the entire school.
I would say that Shinichi's influence spread throughout the school, I wouldn't even doubt it if he managed to win this election. After all, Horikita Manabu commands the third year, he just has to ask the students to vote for Shinichi and that's it, everything is resolved. Or at least...
Because Nagumo is planning to target Ichinose to get a good influence on the former, since 99% of the former's students are in favor of Shinichi, including Ryuen's class.
Little does he know that Ichinose has become one of Shinichi's lovers, if he did, he would know he was acting like a fool. Ichinose actually wants to join the student council, but this... based on his efforts, not for a greedy person like Nagumo. The chances of his plan succeeding are 3% to 7%.
If it was the Ichinose from before, I wouldn't doubt that she would accept his deal to become the future Vice President.
"Now, here are some final thoughts from student council president Horikita."
After the moderator's speech, Horikita Manabu slowly approached the microphone on stage.
If it was the Horikita from before, I mean, just seeing her brother on stage would probably make her cringe.
But now, as she watched her brother's resignation, she fixed him with a steady gaze.
"I am proud and grateful to have been able to lead the student council for nearly two years. Thank you very much." He adjusts his glasses before placing his hands near the microphone with a serious expression on his face. "Now let's welcome our new student council vice-president, first-year student of Class A, Akiyama Shinichi."
Shinichi walks onto the stage alongside Horikita Manabu, Horikita and the others look at Shinichi in surprise. After all, no one knew about it except Fuka and me. The student council members are probably aware of this as well.
"If it wasn't for this interference, Nagumo would have been our new student council president, however. Since Shinichi-kun has become our new vice president, we will have to start elections to see who will become the new president of the student council." He hold out hands, and continues. "You will have one week to decide who will become the new president. You all have an obligation to vote in this election, if you don't want to vote, just vote 'null'."
I understand. In case anyone is the type of person like me. Just vote 'null' and there will be no punishments. From what President Horikita told us, the punishments will cost you Class Point losses.
As soon as the discussion ends, we are dismissed. One of those events ended, and after school on a certain day, it was now the middle of the second semester.
My surroundings began to change little by little. Class D moved through the uninhabited islands, cruises and sports festivals at a slow pace, but we started to have unity as a class. Everyone's small circle of friends gradually expanded, and people who thought they couldn't get along were getting better at dealing with each other. Now that we became Class A, we didn't have to worry too much, but we couldn't let our guard down either.
