POV Ayanokoji

As I was walking back to the classroom, thinking about the complicated situation, I ran into Katsuragi and Yahiko from Class C.

I thought there was no need to talk, but Katsuragi stopped and said to Yahiko:

"I'm sorry, keep going. I have something to talk to Ayanokoji-kun about."

Yahiko raised his guard, but as per Katsuragi's instructions, he immediately nodded and left.

"Akiyama-kun doesn't seem to be with you."

I was surprised by his words. I expected him to say Horikita, but... Shinichi? Of course we walk together everyday but most of the time Horikita is accompanied.

"We don't always stick together."

"That's true. To be honest, I was surprised by the relay race at the sports festival. It's probably something no one else would expect at school."

The topic of conversation would, of course, be this. I was not surprised and said indifferently:

"Class A will not always remain the weakest."

"Fine, but most of the A-class students also looked surprised. As long as their reactions didn't happen, there seems to be a limit to the number of people who knew how fast you and Shinichi could run."

Katsuragi is skilled... He is perceptive for having observed his surroundings so well in that turmoil.

Most people would have only paid attention to me and Shinichi or Nagumo and the student council president. Not only did he pay attention to his own class, he also carefully observed the other classes.

"You're free to imagine what you want, but I won't say anything."

"It doesn't matter. I'm not trying to take anything away from you."

"If it's a hostile class, don't you want as much information as possible? From class C's point of view, don't you see class A as an adversary?"

Katsuragi gave a slightly annoyed expression and took a few steps forward, stopping at the window. His gaze shifted outward.

"I'm being saddled with all kinds of complicated problems right now. I just don't have the luxury of paying attention to other classes."

"You told Horikita to pay attention to Ryuen."

I only spoke information I knew to Katsuragi.

"This guy always moves while disregarding his image to win. He does whatever it takes to stand out, even if he has to utilize things like intimidation and violence."

However, Katsuragi shouldn't just be wary of Ryuen. It would be better to say that he should be wary of Arisu, who was lurking in Class C. Despite that, I didn't bring it up. Although I'm sure she has become the leader or will become in the future.

Arisu is a student who knows my past and is full of mysteries. If I don't handle the situation carefully, I'll just get bitten by the snake.

"Intimidation and violence? It would be dangerous if the school found out about this."

"He's the type of person who will do this kind of thing with skill and discretion. Please keep asking Horikita not to look down on him. While all of this may seem like I'm helping an enemy and making you suspicious, Ryuen is a Unusual A-Class, B-Class, and C-Class Enemy."

It is true that class D is actively fighting all other classes. However, there is evidence that Katsuragi and Ryuen had previously teamed up. I'm not sure I can believe him unconditionally.
