Zayn reminded me a lot of the sun. always shinning bright, so far yet you can feel him close to your body. And definitely as hot as the sun. but if you stared too much, you'd hurt yourself.
I woke up the next morning at the sound of my mum getting ready. She was excited I could tell by the way her feet raced all around the house. I click a random button on my phone so it displays time. It's only 6:13am.
I crawl out of bed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and spend the few minutes left with my mum before she leaves. My reflection on the big bathroom mirror catches my attention and I stare back at my own eyes. I look down at my neck and the huge mark Zayn left. It was still red and little purple. I recall what happened:
Zayn was quiet the whole night but the moment when were in the front door's step he turned me with his long arms to face him.
"Are you sure you're enjoying your time with me?" He asked with his smoky voice. I lied again. –half of me lied-
"yes." My voice shakes more than I would like it to.
Zayn smirked and shoved his face in my neck and pushed my feeble body to the door behind me.
Sucking and biting on my skin, aggressively.
I breathed out sharply in pain and surprise. My hands travels to his chest. Trying my best to get him away from me. He's much stronger than my droopy arms.
He pulls away and his golden pupil turned black with desire and lust. His eyes were locked with mine for a moment. His hands were still on the bottom of my back.
"they say bite marks are love notes written in flesh." He says in a voice lower than a whisper and it takes me a second to realize what he said.
"and I want you to remember me." He moans in my ear.
I shake under his touch and words. I was terrified my mum would see what happened. I was terrified he won't stop.
Zayn smells my fear like a wild animal would. His perfect lips curves into a smile. A winning smile.
He took a step back from me :
"See you later," he was about to say something but he bites his bottom lip instead. "Sach."
I peek at the love bite. it was terribly huge. I worry a little how my mum would react to this. big odds she won't even notice it –or me.- , not right now when she's on her way to her job heaven. I hide it with my curly hair anyway.
"Good morning!" my mum sings as she closes her bedroom's door behind her. dragging the suitcase with her left hand and her phone and sun glasses in the other hand and all the happiness in the world in her face.
I nod with a smile. She was being suspiciously too happy. Was she that excited for Brazil? Is there something she's not telling me or am I being too paranoid?
I help her with her overly-stuffed suitcase. Damn that was heavy.
"When are you leaving?" I ask.
"In a minute. I'm actually little late," She checks her hair in the mirror. Making sure she looks great.
She gives me goodbye hugs and kisses my forehead saying how much she's gonna miss me and how she's gonna call every hour to make sure I'm okay. And she also made sure I got the numbers of everyone we knew in this town just in case I needed anything. And she warned me to never leave the oven turned on unless I'm at the kitchen. And she told me to lock the door behind me every time I leave the house. And I was convinced that my mum forgot that some kids around my age lives alone and they're still alive without any of those life-saving tips.
I walk with her to her car, helping her again with her big suitcase.
"Do you really need all that for one week?" I say catching my breath.
"You just don't know what could happen there, Love."
She gives me one last goodbye hug and she disappears inside of the car.
I walk back inside. locking the door behind me just like my mother said. I was a hell of a good girl.
I dragged myself up to my bedroom. I'd probably sleep again. It was way too early to stay awake. I sunk back in my big bed and warm sheets. Giving my body and mind a good deserved rest.
My peaceful sleep was interrupted by a soft noise. I open one eye to check if my mum forgot something or if it was just a bird outside. But it wasn't either.
I glance at the big window in front of my bed. The noise was definitely coming from outside. I check my phone. It was 9:48am. what is going on?
A small rocks hits the clear glass of my window. I sigh. that was definitely Zayn.
I rolled out of bed. Making sure my Pajamas covered my body. I burst my window open sticking my head out only to spot Zayn standing in our front yard.
"Quiet being romantic I want to sleep." I didn't have to scream. My room was at the second floor, which wasn't that far from the ground where Zayn was.
He shook his head. "Come down or I'll come up."
"I'm not coming anywhere."
He sighs. "Alright, I'm coming in then."
I fly away from the window sill to downstairs, and before I reach the door it was open and Zayn was inside.
"H-How.."
"You think a lock door would keep you away from me?"
