Sach and Zayn laid in the darkness for what seems like hours, Sach threw herself on top of him. Resting her head on his bare chest, listening to his heart beats. Zayn protected her with his strong arms hugging her torso.
Sleep couldn't reach her tired eyes as questions raced into her mind and kept her from sleeping peacefully.
She popped her head up, meeting his eyes. Glad he was awake, she gathered the courage left into her and mumbled ;
"Why me?"
"Why not you?" He said in sleepy voice.
Sach rolled her body and sank back in her warm bed beside him, shifting to get more comfort.
"You said girls chases you." Her voice cracked a little, "you seem like the type of guy that would have girls warped around his finger. Why me?"
"I like challenges."
"what is it all for?"
Zayn sighed slightly and wiped the sleep off his eyes. He blinked few times and whispered ;
"You're my soul mate."
"You don't know me."
"oh, dear Sach, I know everything about you."
She looked away in frustration.
"You know what it feels like?" He said barely listenable, as he pushed her hair off her eyes.
She looked into him, curious and thirsty for answer.
"I feel like you and I had a something before, like you and I were once holding hands willingly and singing love songs to each other. Like you were my soul mate in an entire different universe."
Sach bit her lip. Never breaking contacts with his golden eyes.
"When I saw you for the first time, leaving your school with your friend, I knew you're going to be in my life. You looked like someone I'd have." He paused, looking down at her body. "And now I have you."
Sach shrugged. "That sounds little.. weird and creepy."
"Sorry."
After a period of silent, Sach asked again ;
"Have you ever had a girlfriend before?" She says sheepishly.
Zayn looked away, he bites his lip and his jaw got tensed up even more. Leaving his already strong jaw line even more sharp. He flipped his body so he'd be laying on his back. Watching the ceiling was a habit he gained from over thinking and from Layla.
"I had the best girl in the world." His voice was sad but mostly angry. "And she left me." He chews his lips even more.
"She left because I was too 'hard'." He looked down, sadness and anger still written on his face, and even though it was dark Sach could still see it.
"I never meant to make her walk away like this. I loved her. I wanted to keep her safe and happy. I came back after leaving for the weekend and she said she found somebody else. But she didn't. I know she didn't. I followed her around and she was so lonely." He stopped for a second, making sure his voice won't fail him and crack.
"She left me because I'm not the type of guy that deserves a girl like her, She's pure and full of life and I'm dangerous and bad."
She watched him silently. Not sure if she should try to make him feel better or kick him out. She swallowed hard and pressed another shaky question ;
"How dangerous?" She whispered.
Zayn flipped again so he'd be facing her again.
"I like to protect the people I love. And I don't exactly care about the consequences." His voice was low and serious.
"That doesn't make you dangerous," She said "It makes you a hero." She smiled so slightly making Zayn smile along.
"Do you really think so?" He asked, unsure.
She nodded.
His lips stretched into a big smile, flashing all his white teeth.
"So you wouldn't leave if I tried to protect you?" He asked.
"I can't promise."
"If you didn't want me to be around you'd have called the police when Lauren told you to." He smirked.
Her eyes widen, "And how do you know about this?"
He took a deep breath in and exhaled proud of himself, "Does it really matter now?" He said as he threw his long arms around her again, "Let's just sleep now, everything will be fine in the morning."
He pulled on top of his chest again in the same position they were on.
"I'd never hurt you." He whispered to her lovingly as he rubbed her back.
She nodded into his chest. Finally falling asleep.
Sach woke up and found herself alone in bed with no sign of Zayn. She yawned and sat up, looking for her creepy boy.
She took her phone to check the time, it was 10:39AM. She sighed. Cursing under her breath for waking up early. She, then, pulled the covers off and walked out of the room.
"Smells great." She said, standing in the kitchen's doorframe as Zayn was standing only in boxers making breakfast.
He looked over his shoulder and smiled. "We got a big day, today."
"Do we?" She said, taking a sip of her tea Zayn previously made and sat on the chair.
He nodded.
"Where we're going?"
"Just eat and get ready and you'll find out later." He smiled politely as he sat in front of her.
