Godzilla Raids Again

Part 2

"Sir! Sir! There's been an attack, on an off the Map site we hold, about a hundred and fifty miles off the coast of Southeast Florida." A Sergeant said as he rushed into a room with a Colonel, who sat at a board with neat rows of little soldiers.

"Status?" The Colonel asked as the Sergeant waved in a few people who brought in a small television, and put it on a table a few feet in front of the Colonel.

"Our scouts and messengers all gave the same message, the beast is back, we have been sent a video of the attack on our military base." The Sergeant said as soldiers came in and got the Television ready to show output, then brought in a cassette and put it into the cassette player. Suddenly the television gained color and a beach was shown, it was a concrete beach with small waves hitting the shore, and soldiers walking around the base, guns in hand. Suddenly the waves began to get bigger, and then suddenly a large wave crashed into the shore and sent the soldiers scrambling closer inland as they rushed to escape the wave, which caught up to them, and they dropped their weapons as they began to keep themselves afloat.

Suddenly blue glowing spikes became visible as the wave continued to cause havoc, suddenly the point of view changed to that of a helicopter. The wave continued to ravage the inland base, before stopping at a large concrete wall, and then the Helicopter flew up to the spikes, and then there was a loud roar.

"Roarnnn!" Suddenly a massive reptile jut it's head out of the water and roared as it stood up in the water which began to return to the ocean. The lizard then looked side to side before roaring once again and then walking inland as soldiers shouted. Snipers got on the edge of the nearby buildings, and they aimed their weapons as the massive creature roared, its' gills glowing a slight blue. The creature then roared as the snipers fired, causing the monster to look to one of the buildings. The creature bent down slightly, looking at the snipers on the building, suddenly another sniper fired, barely missing the creature's eye, and it roared in anger before using it's tail to smack the building, causing it to immediately collapse, killing most if not all the people on and inside. The creature then roared, suddenly the video paused.

"What happened?" The Colonel asked as the sergeant frantically attempted to fix the video.

"Minor issues, it appears that the tape broke, and I have to fix it, but they just called in some helicopters is what I'm told." The sergeant said, he then pushed the cassette back in and the video fixed.

A squad of Helicopters flew in, and hovered as the monster roared in anger. The creature then took another step as it looked around at the nearby buildings, suddenly another round was fired from the snipers, and the monster roared once again, but before it could retaliate, the Helicopters opened fire, causing the monster to turn to the Helicopters and roar angrily, then suddenly it's dorsal spikes began to glow brighter, and brighter before finally the monster opened it's mouth while facing the Helicopters, and then out came a stream of blue, fire-like energy.

The helicopters exploded upon contact with the beam of energy, and then the monster faced a building and the beam set the energy in fire, and the monster then proceeded to slowly turn its' head so as to set all the buildings on fire. The monster then roared as it got bombed by a high altitude stealth bomber. The bomb exploded, causing the monster to nearly fall forward. The monster then roared before stomping forward again, and then it reached the concrete wall, and right past was the base of operations. The monster then roared and fired the beam of energy setting the building aflame, and then suddenly it exploded from all the explosives inside. The monster then roared triumphantly as it swung it's tail side to side, causing more destruction.

"Skreeoonk!!" The monster roared before turning around only to get bombed again. Suddenly the Monster began charging it's beam attack, but it faced the ground, and then a burst of energy spread out from the monster, and then the video went black.

"What was that!?" The Colonel shouted angrily as he sat up, and went right up to the Sergeant.

"We believe that it was ..." The Sergeant said before swallowing hard before speaking again "we believe it was the monster of 1998"

"That's not Godzilla, Godzilla was harmed by our conventional weapons, this creature has withstood half the force it took to take out the original, and it left without a scratch, this is an unholy abomination." The Colonel said angrily.

"Kane sir, perhaps this is the true Godzilla, perhaps the monster of 1998 was merely Zilla" the Sergeant offered, and Colonel Kane nodded.

"Perhaps you're right" Colonel Kane said "Perhaps now we are fighting the true Godzilla, but one thing's for sure, we're not losing"
