Godzilla Raids Again

Part 8

"Fascinating!" Dr. Giovanni Serizawa said in fascination "It displays many traits similar to the original, but ... Amplified."

"What does that mean?" Colonel Kane said as he looked to Serizawa who continued to stare at his files.

"Godzilla is now more powerful than ever, A true Godzilla. It's scales can now withstand over fifty time the force than it's predecessor." Dr. Serizawa said as he showed the files to Colonel Kane "That means that our conventional weapons won't have any effect on it. It's now a Titan."

Dr. Serizawa then brought out some more files and began looking through them.

"Can you build a weapon designed to harm Godzilla and any other Titan threats?" Colonel Kane asked, and Giovanni looked unsure.

"I don't believe that our best choice is to destroy the Titans, some may be more beneficial to our survival than we think." Dr. Giovanni Serizawa said as he put down the files. Kane looked at them, and they were about sources of energy similar to Godzilla's energy attack.

Colonel Kane then nodded as he took the files and left Serizawa on his own. Kane went out of the lab, and headed to a weapon designing facility.

"You!" Kane said as he pointed to the lead engineer "I need you to design a weapon utilizing this energy source."

Kane then handed the files over, and saw as the engineer looked at it in confusion.

"These energy sources are extremely rare, and hard to get a hold of, if I had more resources ... Maybe we could work something out, but not right now." The engineer said, and Kane snapped as soldiers came in with their guns lifted, ready to fire.

"I'll get you the resources, but the weapons are top priority under our nation's current circumstances." Kane said as the engineer nodded.

"I assume you mean the monsters that are rampant. I hear you guys caught one, the lizard?" The engineer said as he looked back and pointed to a few of the designers.

"Yes?" The designers asked in unison.

"I need a weapon of some sort, I assume mobile. It needs to run on one of these energy sources." The engineer then said as he handed the files to the designers and they left, the engineer then turned to Kane "My best men are on it as we speak."

Kane then turned to leave, but saw a soldier rush in.

"Sir! A report has been filed. Godzilla has escaped our containment, shall we go after it?" The soldier asked, and Kane shook his head.

"No, leave it be for now. We have what we need." Colonel Kane said as he left, followed by his entourage of soldiers.
