Slanted is Na'vi

Mo'at pov

Today has been a very long day. After the celebration for my youngest i left the village to head to the tree of souls. There are some questions I am hoping to get the answers for. I soon am nearing the tree of souls and as I approach I feel a strong presence behind me. Whipping around to face what is following me and I am soon faced with my daughter's Ikran. The creature creeps closer to me and as it does i am filled with the strongest feeling that this is no normal Ikran. We stare into one another's eyes for a moment before she moves past me and walks closer to a clump of vines hanging down close to us. What she does next truly surprises me. She reaches out her queue and connects them to the vines of the tree. Curious as to what is going on I to, connect my queue to the vines of the tree.

As I open my eyes again I am in an unfamiliar setting. It is dark and the floor is cold and lifeless beneath my feet, similar to that of Grace's demon lab. Then I hear it, the very familiar sound of a baby's cry. I move around blindly in the darkness trying to find my baby girl and comfort her. As I wander around in the endless darkness something else soon joins my baby's cries. A small high pitched barking reaches my ears and they get louder as I soon spot a small furry creature running towards me as fast as its tiny little legs can carry it. I soon see it barley reaches my ankles as it runs past me towards what looks to be my baby girl wearing strange garb while lying belly down in the grass on a soft blanket. Soon light envelopes everything and a strange forest surrounds us as the little creature licks the baby's face, its tail wagging so fast it becomes a blur of blue, white and brown. This creature looks so familiar to me as its colors of blue, black, white, and brown remind me of something. Something i can't place at the moment as i watch the baby giggle at the little animal covering her face in slobber.

As I continue to watch, a warm feeling of joy fills my chest and I start to smile at the bond between the two of them. No sooner than I started to smile, a human woman came over. Spur no bad pup, stop licking her face that's gross. She says as she picks up the giggly baby, the pup jumping up and down trying to get who i assume is the mother, to put her friend back down so she can continue to show her love. But mom, the little baby tastes so good I just have to lick her. A male voice pipes up in a high pitch as if trying to narrate the pup's thoughts. The human male comes over to stand beside his mate as he picks the wiggly little animal up and starts to playfully put the pup near the baby and pull it back as soon as it goes to lick her. The woman soon starts to scold her mate saying that letting the puppy lick their child so much is not good, and playfully says that he needs to stop it before he is sleeping on something called a couch for the night.

The darkness returns as it covers the little family and their pet as another scene soon lights up the world around me again. Come on spur this way, good dog! That's my good girl! A little girl calls out as she runs past me, a bigger version of the puppy I saw before trailing right behind her. Its tongue hanging out of its mouth and it prances and jumps around the little girl. They continue to jump around and chase each other through the grass and leaves of their home but soon the dog stops for some reason. Its ears and tail raised in an alert stance at it stares into the trees a little ways away from them. The animal starts to make a low growling sound that comes from deep within her throat. What's wrong spur? The child asks her four legged companion as she continues to growl at something in the distance. The little girl looks out towards where the dog is staring. There's nothing there spur, it's ok. She says as she walks towards the trees. This is when the dog bites onto the sleeves of the girl's pants and starts dragging her in the opposite direction.

As the dog and girl disappear around a bush corner an animal that looks similar in build to the thanator slinks out of the treeline, a look of hunger on its face as it sniffs through the air. When it realizes that there is no prey in sight it slinks back into the darkness. The scene shifts again as I now see the girl the same age my Riely is today cry into the fur of her friend who looks to be sick, old, and in pain. Don't worry Spur, this vet visit will make you all better and the stupid cancer is going to go away. They will remove the tumor and you'll be all better. She cries as the dog rubs her head on the girl's shoulder. I then hear a voice in my head that I have yet to hear this entire time. Oh my dearest friend, I wish you could understand me when I say i'm not going to make it. A feminine voice softly says before continuing. I'm fourteen years old the same as you. While you may still be young and have so much time ahead of you, I do not. My time is near but yours is far and while I love you so and wish to stay i sadly can not. The voice carries on and I realize that it is the dog, spur who is speaking and while her mouth may not move her words are as clear in my head as the sun in the sky.

Spur continues to nuzzle her distraught friend as she continues on with her small speech even though no one else but me can hear it. You must carry on without me when I am gone. One day we will meet again it may not be soon but one day for certain we will see each other again. The scene fades and once more I am shrouded in darkness. As I wait for another scene to play out I realize that one is not going to appear anytime soon. I hear a deep bark behind me and I turn around and there stands before me is Spur. she stares at me for a moment before the fur on her body starts to disappear and her bones warp and grow in shape. Before I know it my little Riely's ikran stands before me. I hope that answers at least one of your questions. Her silky voice echoes in my head. Yes it does. I answer her. Yet I still have many more. I relay to her soon after. Well, there is one more thing that the great mother wanted me to show you. She tells me and soon I stand in a familiar forest.

I soon hear giggles as the sound of small foot steps could be heard coming closer and closer. Come on Kiri, Lo'ak I'm gonna beat you! A young boy's voice could be heard and soon out of the bushes burst not a Na'vi boy but a human one. This boy sports hair as golden as the sun, eyes a beautiful dark brown, and pale skin painted with light blue stripes. He rushes past me and soon two Na'vi children follow suit. A young boy and girl who i'm assuming are Lo'ak and Kiri fly by right on the human boy's tail. Children slow down! I know you all want to run and play but that can wait till we get there. A familiar masculine voice calls out. I turn my head and I soon see a much older Tsu'tey emerge from the brush and who I see follow him makes me gasp. A very pregnant and much older Riely follows behind and he bends down and places a hand on her belly. She giggles at him softly and says, oh let them run around they won't get hurt. Tsu'tey hums and replies, Yes but you might if you continue to try and keep up with them. Especially our wild little boy Spider. Riely hums in agreement before her expression turns sour. When are we going to tell him? I don't get to hear or see anything else as I am dragged back and am once again facing Spur. Mo'at the great mother wants me to tell you that you must ensure that the very scene from the future remains as is. Tsu'tey must be mated to Riely not Sylwanin. Eywa declares it so. She says and right after Im dragged out of Eywa's realm and my eyes open as i emerge back in the real world.
