Waking up Jake lifts himself off his bunk and into his wheelchair before making his way to the mess hall for breakfast. On his way he starts to pass the Gym when he sees Quaritch about to start his workout. Colonel. Jake greets him waving slightly to get his attention. Quaritch sits up and smiles at Jake. Well son what do you have to report to me today? The man asks and Jake slightly hesitates before telling him all that happened to him during his time in his avatar. Well now that's a surprise. I'm glad you managed to get in. I would've thought that they would sooner kill anyone in their territory after what happened three years ago. Quaritch says with a smirk on his face, happy that he has a spy on the inside. About that sir, Grace told me a little about what happened that day and I have something else to report to you. Jake says after another moment of hesitation. And what would that be boy? Quaritch questions, slightly intrigued. Riely's still alive sir. Jake says abruptly. Quaritch freezes slightly going pale in the face before gaining his composure. I must be getting hard of hearing now in my old age but did you just say what I think you said. Quaritch questions and Jake feels as if he has made the biggest mistake ever. You heard right sir. Jake says, his voice slightly going quiet before he explains how he met the young girl and all that happened after.

Well ain't that a kick in the pants. Here I thought that those two balls of lead that Z-dog pumped into her would have killed her for sure. Quaritch says his voice going quiet, his eyes glazing over for a second before he covers it up with a chuckle. Jake and Quaritch then talk for a good while about what they each know about the girl that was raised among the natives of this planet. She was a good kid, hurt a bit when I thought she died but that's war for you son. You do what you're told and grieve in silence. Do me a favor boy and don't go getting attached to the Enemy like I did. I for damn sure know I am not making the same mistake twice. Quaritch says with a slight shrug of his shoulder before dismissing Jake so that the man can get breakfast before having to go link up to his avatar. Unknown to both of them they had a one man audience listening in on them. Lyle Wainfleet, while scared for the young girl's life, knew his commanding officer and best friend was right. They were practically in a war right now and as the saying goes, good soldiers follow orders. And you can't go getting buddy buddy with those who are supposed to be your enemy. No matter how kind or loving they were to you, in the end they are your enemy and you better be prepared for the moment when you might have to kill them.

Riely pov

Waking up this morning I made breakfast for me and Tsu'tey before the both of us had to go out and complete our daily duties. Before he left to teach his students I managed to steal a kiss and take off leaving him to stand there in shock. Mother talked to me last night about helping Neytiri in training Jake. I reluctantly said yes knowing my sister was gonna need all the help she could get in teaching this one. I made my way to the meadow where all the clans Pa'li rested watching Neytiri lead one over to Jake. Good boy, easy. Jake says as he approaches the animal cautiously. Pale is female. Neytiri corrects him as she tries to calm the jittery creature as it tries to move away from Jake, sensing his nervousness. Easy girl. He corrects himself, running his hand along the flank of the pa'li. He then with a bit of a struggle gets up onto the animals back and connects his queue with pale's. A look of shock runs across his face as he tries to process the new sensation running through him. I leave them to it as i go and look around to find my pa'li. I know what you're thinking, the pa'li don't bond with only one rider. Well this one does and she is stubborn about it as well. She's not just stubborn but different as well. I have respectfully given her the human name Bagheera after hearing a story from Grace. I believe this name fits her well.

Bagheera, unlike most pa'li, is pitch black in color and does not like most other people. In fact one of our older warriors was supposed to be the one to ride her first and she fought him like she was about to die. She kicked, bucked and bit till he finally was thrown off landing in a nearby pile of dung. She did this with everyone who tried to ride her till I came along. She allowed me to ride her and we have been friends ever since. I ride her back to where Neytiri and Jake are and see that Jake has fallen off the pa'li and is now covered in mud. I laugh along with Neytiri before Tsu'tey and his own students burst through the brush riding their own group of pa'li. You should go away. Tsu'tey says in english as he stops his mount in front of Jake. Nah you'd miss me. I knew you could speak english. Jake sasses Tsu'tey as he tries to wipe the mud off his arms only succeeding in smearing it. Tsu'tey smirks as he looks at me and Neytiri. I don't know why you bother teaching this demon. A rock sees more. He says and as if proving his point Jake tries to wipe mud off his tongue, with muddy fingers. I give Tsu'tey a look that makes him back off some before Neytiri tells him to go as she lightly taps the hindquarters of Tsu'teys pa'li. They leave and me and Neytiri go back to teaching Jake how to ride properly. We do this for a few hours and Jake is now a little bruised from how many times he has fallen off but at least he is persistent.

Time skip.

Jake has been with us for a good few weeks and has been learning well if not a bit slow. Today though me and Tsu'tey get the entire day off from our duties. For today is my 18th birthday. Today is the day me and Tsu'tey get to make our mating bond complete. The day we get to become one. We plan to spend the entire day together doing all the things we love. I actually woke up this morning to Tsu'tey covering my neck and shoulders with kisses and nipping at my collar bone slightly. I giggled at him and wrapped my arms around his head as he laughed with me. We stayed in our Kelku for a bit longer than usual just basking in each other's presence. Something we usually don't get to do. My love we must get up if we want to go out together before tonight like we planned. I say as I rub his neck and shoulders. He groans before lifting his head up and kissing me. This kiss is unlike any of the others we have shared which were shy and didn't last long at all. This kiss is filled with passion and hunger. After what feels like forever he pulls away and I pant slightly trying to gain air back into my lungs. I'm sorry Ma Riely, I couldn't resist. You are just so perfect. He says as he moves to nuzzle back into my neck. Hmm if anyone here is perfect it is you my love. I tell Tsu'tey before crawling out of our kelku and taking off leaving him in the dust laughing as I did. I can hear him chase after me as we run throughout hometree.

As I reach the bottom branches I let out a few sharp yips and jump right off the branch I stand on before landing on Bagheera's back as she runs full speed through the forest. You cheater! I hear Tsu'tey yell out and I have Bagheera skid to a stop and look back at him. You couldn't catch me even when I was on foot Ma Tsu'tey! I shout at him with a laugh as Bagheera takes off once more. It was not long before Tsu'tey was right behind me on his own pa'li urging it to catch up to me and Bagheera. We race each other through the trees and brush of the forest, almost running over Jake as he pushes Neytiri to the side as we rush past them. Sorry! I shout out at them in apology as I laugh. We soon come to a clearing near a lake and I jump off hoping to out run Tsu'tey on foot but I was not fast enough as his strong arms wrap around my waist and haul me into the air as he spins us around. He brings us both to the ground with me on top of him straddling his waist. His arms tighten around me as he puts his forehead to mine. I bring my hands up and cradle his face as best I could with our size difference. I love you Ma Tsu'tey. I whisper as I close my eyes breathing in his scent. And I love you. He says back to me. What would you like to do first? He asks as we open our eyes. How about we go for a swim. I say looking towards the lake with a mischievous smile.
