I've never been the biggest fan of beaches

I've never been the biggest fan of beaches.

And if someone told me, "In two years time, you'll be playing in the ocean like a 6 year old. " I simply wouldn't believe them. If anything, I think I'd bet my entire career on it.

Thank god I didn't because here I was, playing in the ocean with the prettiest girl I've ever laid my eyes on.

Every time she splashed me, she smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. The warmth in her eyes drew me in closer than it should've.

I shouldn't be attracted to her. I can't be attracted to her. But I just am.

Something about her reeled me in. I don't know what it was but I wasn't going to fight the feeling.

After 30 minutes of this, she suggested we go to a local McDonalds' since we missed our reservation.

We drove up and we put our orders in then collected our orders.

As I put our orders in the back. I asked her if I should drop her home now. I then noticed a look on her face, as if she was debating on answering something.

"Can I maybe spend the night.. with you?"

I couldn't help the way my heart sped up. She wants to spend the night with me?

"Of course, sweetheart. I thought you'd never ask." I replied as I put the car in drive, thinking of the quickest route to get home as she may get cold if she stays in these clothes any longer.

As I drove, I noticed her peeking glances at me and I had to supress the urge to smile.

After a peaceful drive of soft music filling the silence, we arrived at my house. We both opened our car doors at the same time and she looked up at my house, examining the exterior. I remembered this was the first time she's seen the outside as the first time I brought her here she was passed out.

"It's beautiful.." She diverted her gaze from the house to me.

"Thanks." I said as I led her to the front door, opening it for her. She stepped in and took her heels off, leaving them by the front door and I did the same.

"Let me show you your room." I led the way to a room not far from mine. The rooms were a light shade of blue, a queen sized bed with fresh covers on. "There's some clothes in the closet and the bathroom is right there. Call me if you need anything."

"Yea, thanks again, for everything really." She smiled at me.

I smiled back, leaving her to do her own thing. I placed our food on the island and went to change into grey sweats and a plain white shirt. By time I went back she was, sitting by the island with her eyes glued to her phone. From where I was standing, she was wearing one of my white shirts and her hair was let down, still damp. She looked up and saw me looking at her, us making brief eye contact.
