How will Thomas Shelby handle his Little Roe who is now turning into a bit of a trouble maker. With her mischief and getting into trouble which somehow she always finds a clever way to get out of it. After all their is a sayin...
(Tommy's P.O.V.) Hadley had tried a couple of days to get Roe to start her homework. She had asked her multiple times a day, but Little Roe always managed to slip away. Now I knew that Roe wasn't as easily convinced, even when the stern Hadley Honey was the one who gave out the orders. Roe didn't care even when Ms Honey began to use her full name.
"Roe" Hadley said walking into the livingroom, where Roelynn was colouring. But my daughter knew immediatly what was going to be asked of her and without a second thought she ran away "no!".
"Roelynn!" Hadley called out annoyed and showed the kid, her school books. "In a minute!".
"Roelynn get off Blue-eye and go do your homework!" Ms Honey called out to the field where Roe spend most of her afternoon. "Yeah, soon!" Roe called back. But other than that, didn't make any movement to go and do her homework. "Roe, I'm not asking again" she told her and put her hand on her hips, "I'll do it tomorrow" Roelynn called back and continued to ride her horse. Hadley now clearly had enough and walked back to me. "Your turn" Hadley said and slammed the books into my chest, "I have a parent teacher conference". I stood up from the garden chair and made my way to the field. "Roe" I called out to my daughter and she turned Blue Eye to the fence I stood at. "we are going to do your homework. So stable your horse and-". I watched as she got a cheeky grin on her face, "No, don't you dare ride away from me-" I warned my daughter and pointed a diciplined finger at her. But of course she did not listen to me. "Roelynn Eden Shelby!" I called after her, as soon as she rode off, almost immediatly after hearing my warning. "For fuck sake" I cursed, turning on my heel and making my way to get one of the other horses out the stable.
Finally after riding after Roelynn, for god only knows how long, I had managed to get her inside and now sitting at the other end of my desk in the home office. "Now you wil sit here and do your homework" I told her and pushed the schoolbook towards. She rolled her eyes at me and made a move to get of the chair. "Oh no. You stay right there and wont come off that chair untill you are finished with your homework". "What if I have to pee?" She questioned looking up at me. "My advice is to finish your homework" I told her and turned to grab some documents to begin my own work. Suddenly I heard her chair move over the wooden flooring and abrublty turned around. "Roelynn, stay in that fucking chair!" I yelled harshly at her. She froze for a second and looked at me. But then while pulling herself back in the chair, Roe cursed me out in Romani underneath her breath. I had to force myself not to laugh at that. So, I hid it with a cough. That was something Steve had also done when him and I served in the war. Curse me out underneath his breath. Another thing that reminded me of her biolgical father, my old friend. Roe let out a huff and placed her chin on her arms that she had leaned onto the desk. Meanwhile I sat back down and began to do some work. But after around 30 min, I still had to see Roe pick up a pencil and start her homework. I look up at her. I sighed, this isn't going to work. So, I had to think of a different thing. "What did you want to do again when you are grown up?" I questioned her, which made her look up with excited eyes. "A vet" she answered delightfull, "so I can make all the animals better". "But then you do need to know how to spell" I told her, "because a vet knows how to spell the extremely difficult names of the medicines that she gives to the animals". I looked at her "otherwise I won't bring my horses to you. What if you give my horse the wrong medicine because you spelled it incorrectly" I asked in shock. "I know how to spell!" She yelled at me with a smirk and leaned over the homework to write the correct word that matched the small picture. "b.r.i.d.g.e - Bridge. O.c.e.a.n -ocean". I smiled and turned back to my own work. Eventually she finished it and pushed the book around to show of her work. I nodded, she got all right. "So what else do you have?" I asked and looked at her work sheet. "Ah, math. Solve problems 1 through 10". But not long later Roelynn pushed the book towards me. I raised an eyebrow at her "I need some help" she told me and showed me the book. I took a quick look at the problems. What the hell is this, I thought to myself. I knew Roelynn was given harder work in math from Ms Honey before Mr Redlow became her teacher. But I didn't know it was this hard. I thought that instead of the + and -, she now was learning the × and ÷. But no, the formula contained those symbols and the brackets ( ). I looked over the sum and then at the example. I knew kind of how to solve it, but not how they wanted it to be solved. Which only became more confusion when I tried to do it their way.

So I just decided it to do my own way. Which was still difficult manner to solve it and annoyed me. Roe noticed the different approach and so kindly decided to tell "I don't think they wanted us to do it that way. They want us to it like this". "Well, I don't know that way" I told her, "who in the hell decided to change math? Math is math. It worked when I was younger why invent a new method?!". Roe just shrugged at me. Evenrually she leaned over and took the book back. She looked intently at her book and I could see the gears work in her head. Then it was like she had an Eureka moment. And she easily began to solve the problems. After she finished her work she sat back in the chair. I sighed and asled her a question "if you can do it. Why not do it in class?". She looked down at her paper and shrugged. "Clearly it is easy for you" I continued trying to get her to explain. "It is" she told me, "but-" Roe fell silent and adverted her eyes. Clearly not knowing how to answer my question. "I'll talk with Mr Redlow tomorrow" I told her and gave her a warm smile.
