Jaiden's POV

"I really don't want to do this right now" I burst through the dull silence, as we all did our homework.

"Yeah me neither" Rianna agreed, "I actually have something to tell you guys"

We all shut our text books and eyeballed Rianna with our complete attention.

"What!" Ava said with an antsy tone in her voice.

"Well Keegan, being the best boyfriend in the whole wide world, got us all an invite to see The Titanic musical in Toronto next weekend!"

"Really!?" I jumped up.

The Titanic played an important part in the squads relationship. In eighth grade we went to the same musical on our class Toronto trip. I will never forget it.

"Yes! And an added bonus is that we can bring dates too!"

"Oh my God, Yes!" Meghan's face lit up.

"I'm texting Matt right now!" Olivia immediately grabbed out her phone.

"So, I guess you and Matt are pretty serious now" Rianna smirked at Olivia.

"Yeah we've gone on at least three dates now" she blushed.

Jasmine, Ava and I awkwardly looked at each other.

"I think I know someone who I can go with" Jasmine added, "His name is Jason"

We all nodded.

Once more, Ava and I awkwardly looked at each other.

Rianna glanced in our direction and saw our facial expressions, and said, "You don't have to bring a date"

Yeah, because who needs a date when you have the squad! Oh, wait they'll be with their dates.. fuck.

"Me and Jaiden will be each others dates" Ava wrapped her arms around me..

"Yeah, screw you guys, my date's cooler than yours!" I laughed.

They all laughed along with me.

I loved Ava, but really wanted my own date as well. And I knew Ava felt the same.

× The Next Day ×

AVA: What r u wearing to the titanic?

ME: Going shopping for a dress rn.

AVA: Don't get anything tumblr blue! Or "light blue" as everyone else calls it.

ME: Lol I won't!

AVA: Kk.

I placed my phone back into my purse and walked into the mall.

First, I headed for Abercrombie and Fitch.

I tried on a navy blue sun dress, a floral designed white blouse with a black pencil skirt, and a light pink summer dress. But, none of them were suitable for my tastes.

Just as I was about to leave, my eyes glanced in the direction of a white floral designed sun dress. It was quite similar to the dress I wore to the musical in eighth grade.

Without any hesitation, I grabbed the sun dress along with a cartigan and tried it on.

As I gazed into my reflection, eighth grade memories started to replay on and on in my head.

I let out a happy sigh. This was the dress.

I quickly changed and went out to buy the outfit.

I happily strolled out of the store and down to the food court for lunch.

Out of nowhere I bumped into an old, scrawny, tall, male stranger. He looked to be in his late twenties.

"Sorry!" I appoligized and swiftly moved out of his way.

But, I had a weird feeling about him and I felt sort of... empty.

I looked down at my purse, and realized that the stranger had stolen it when we bumped into eachother.

"Hey!" I yelled, "Give that back!"

The stranger immediately bolted down the walkway of the mall, with my black leather purse in his hands. I chased after him.

Thankfully we caught the attention of a teenage boy, who saw the scrawny man coming his direction. So, the teenage boy extended his leg out tripping the scrawny man. Leading him to fall face first on the dirty mall floor.

Feeling accomplished, I bent down to the scrawny man's defeated position (on the floor) and took my purse back.

I turned around to the teenage boy, who helped me take down the scrawny stranger. He was quite handsome.

He was tall and had broad shoulders. His hair was flowing past his ears and was a light brown colour. The thing that stood out the most, was his light green puppy dog eyes.

"Thank you" I gave him a sensere smile.

"No problem" he replied, "It looked like you needed a hand"

"And it's rare finding a Good Samaritann, like you, who is willing to help people in need" I added, "So again, thank you"

He chuckled a little bit. "I'm not what you would call a 'Good Samaritan'"

"Then what would I call you?" I asked intriguingly.

"You can call me Bobby" He extended his hand for me to shake it.

"Jaiden" I shook his hand.

"Okay, Jaiden" Bobby started, "hate to cut things short but, I have places to be. See ya around"

"See ya around" I awkwardly said.

I watched Bobby walk down the mall. There was something about him... and I couldn't tell if that something was good or bad.
