Bobby's POV
ME: Jaiden, we should go out for lunch again.
Jaiden?
Chicken Wing?
Ok, sorry I won't call you that anymore.
Jaiden?
Are you alive?
Wtf? Why aren't you answering my texts?
Are you mad about Chicken Wing?
Jaiden???
Plz answer meeeI put my phone down on my bed.
Where the fuck was she?
I got into my red pick up truck and drove off to Jaiden's house.
As I made my way downtown, I saw Rianna, Meghan and Olivia walking together.
I slowed down. "Hey where's Jaiden?" I asked.
They were all quiet.
"I don't know" Olivia said quietly.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Jaiden hasn't been telling us the truth lately" Rianna mumbled.
"What?"
"Fuck it" Meghan breathed, "Were you, or were you not, with Jaiden yesterday for lunch?"
"She was with me for lunch yesterday, we got back late though" I explained.
They all exchanged worried looks.
"What?"
"I may have... sort of.. flipped out on her yesterday for writing 'slut' on my locker.." Rianna admitted.
"You know Jaiden would never do that to you, right?"
"I know! I know! I should've listened to my instinct and not the facts!"
"Well she's not answering her phone" I said.
"Let's go to her house and see what's up" Meghan suggested.
"Get in"
× At Jaiden's ×
We all stood at the front door.
Meghan rang the doorbell.
Jaiden's Dad, Jim, answered the door.
"Hello" He greatest us sullenly.
"Hello, Jim is Jaiden home?" I asked.
"She's not taking guests right now" He explained.
"I'm sorry, I need to see her" I barged my way through the door, the girls followed.
"Bobby!" Jim called after me.
"Jaiden!" I called out.
"Bobby?" Jaiden's voice was faint. "W-what are you doing?"
Her face was full of tears.
"We came here because we're worried, you weren't answering my texts"
"And you weren't at school" Rianna added.
"I thought you guys couldn't trust me?" Jaiden said quietly.
"Jaiden, Bobby told us that you were with him during lunch" Olivia said, "we're sorry we didn't believe you. We love Jaiden! And I promise we will never turn my back on you again!"
"Yeah, Jaiden! I love you and I'm sorry for flipping out!" Rianna added.
"We should have listened" Meghan said shamefully.
Jaiden came running towards them. They all hugged eachother.
"I love you guys! And I'm sorry I lied to you guys about how I ended up in detention!"
I smiled.
"Jaiden are you done packing?" Her mother, Blythe, called from down the hall.
"Packing?" I questioned.
"No, mom" Jaiden replied.
"Jim? Why did you let all these people in? I thought we agreed no guests" Blythe said.
"I didn't let them in" Jim defended himself.
"Well, it's time for you all to get going, Jaiden's busy right now" Blythe started waving us out.
"Wait! Someone needs to tell me what exactly is going on!" I shouted.
"Yeah, where are you going Jaiden?" Olivia asked.
"Jim and I have noticed changes in Jaiden's behavior lately" Blythe started.
"We didn't think much of it. Until last night we received a call from the police station last night"
"The police explained that they found Jaiden passed out by the bank. They had brought her back to the station and had a drug test done on her.." Jim continued.
"The results were...positive"
Blythe started to tear up. "And there is no room for a drug addict or trouble maker in this house"
This family is so white... if my parents found out I was on drugs they would just beat me, they wouldn't cry or send me away. They would beat me.
"So, Blythe and I decided that, for Jaiden's sake, we would send her away to a detention center" Jim finished.
"You can't do that" Rianna blurted out.
"Yeah! You can't send her away! Jaiden will get eaten alive out there!" I yelled.
"If anyone is going to a detention center, it's going to be me!" Meghan screamed.
"I would rather die than let you take her away!" Olivia exclaimed.
"We have no choice!" Jim yelled out.
"You're not taking her!" I screamed.
"Get out of my house!" Blythe screamed. "Now!!"
