Chapter 31

Axels pov

I woke up to my phone going off, I recongised the number as the Woman from yesterday,Ryder and I decided to stay a couple of days to see if we could get any information on where she could have gone from here.

I quickly pick the phone "hello" I say "she called me or I called her, I don't really know but I spoke to her" she says which gives me hope she might've told her where she was, "did she tell you where she is" 

"no" just as fast it came my hope disappeared "she said it was too late to help" what's that supposed to mean "she told me she didn't want anyone to get hurt because of her" I stay silent just listening to April repeat her conversation

"she told me to tell you and Ryder to stop looking for her because she doesn't want to be found" the line silent as she finished speaking, she has to know that I wont just stop looking for her I can't, "I'm worried about her" April whispers.

"I know me too" I say because if I'm being completely honest I am, she's all alone and her father is trying to do god knows what, "I can't just stop looking for her" I say more to myself, "I know, but I want to help" April replies

"I'm gonna come with you guys" she says which catches me off guard she doesn't even know us and she wants to help look for Louise, "Why?" I question "I mean you don't even know us" Rustling noises alerted me that Ryder was now awake and moving around

"because she reminds me of my little sister and I can't just give up on Louise like everyone did for my sister" she admits "ok, well we're gonna try find information on where she could've gone" I end the call and message her where to meet us.

"who was that?" Ryder asked finally fully awake "April, the girl we met yesterday" Ryder was quick to sit up and look at me "does she know where Louise is?" he questions I shake my head and tell him what she told me.

"that's stupid, she's stupid if she thinks I'm just gonna give up on her" I nod my head at him "get ready we gonna see what we can find out.

We meet April at the bus station before walking in, It worked to find her before so maybe it'll work again, Walking to the service desk I can feel my nerves begin to build up, what if it doesn't work this time.

"Good morning, how can I help you today?" the lady sitting at the counter says "hello, My name is Axel and this is Ryder and April" I say pointing at the two beside me "his sister is missing and we think she took one of these buses somewhere" I continue 

"we were wondering if we can talk some of your drivers or to someone that can help us figure out where she went" Ryder takes over, the lady looks at us before starting to type something, "It's a long shot, there's no gurantee that you'll find anything she says

"But I'll see what I can do for you" she says and I nod "thank you for this" we go and sit down on some chairs near the help center, we sat there waiting for what feels like forever in all reality was just under half an hour.

"This is Mr. Lincoln, he the manager of this bus station he is happy to assist with anything you need" she says before walking away leaving us alone with Mr. Lincoln, "hello, Elise explained the situation to me and I'm happy to let you talk to some of the drivers but there is no gurantee that the same driver that drove your sister is here right now" he says to which we all nod

"but we can also look through the security footage of the day and time she left to see if we can spot what bus she got on and where it was heading and get any footage from that bus" he explains, I sigh in relief because again we have some hope.

"Thank you, we really appreciate this" I say before turning to April, "When did she leave?"  I ask her "yesterday at around 5am" Mr. Lincoln nods before turning around "follow me" we all do as said and follow him to a security room.

"we'll go through footage around that time, let us know if you spot her" he says before clicking through whatever to get to yesterdays footage, we sit there intently staring at the screen waiting for any sign of her.

"there" Ryder says pointing to the screen "that's her" he adds on, Mr. Lincoln starts zooming in on the bus before opening the laptop he brang with him, "Run 22, had multiple stops that day, she could've gotten of at any" he says "but if we can get the footage from the camera at the front we can approximately find where she went" 

We're getting closer I thought to myself, we're gonna get her back, "I'll go find out where that bus is currently so I can speak to the driver and get the footage" he says standing "wait here" we nod before turning back to the screen, I'll see you soon.

Walking out of the station it was now dark out we were in there for hours, after he left he found out that the bus would be there soon and then there was hours of footage to go through before we finally found where she got off.

It was a little town 7 hours from here, "I'm gonna go home and let Paul and Molly Know what's going on but you guys can leave now I'll leave in a bit and meet you there" April says as we go to our separate cars.

"we're close Ryder" I say as we start driving "we're gonna get her back" he looks at me before facing the road, ignoring me trying not to give himself hope.

Ryder's phone started ringing after about 2 hours in the car, he starts talking to the person on the other end before facing me, "they found her" he says and my heart stops, all I can think is please be ok.

"mum got a call because she was admitted into hospital after blood loss" he says, my heart sinking, "is she okay" I question, he nods before continuing "they found her ID on her, she is at the town, we're going to"

I was right we are gonna get her back "I told mum that we were already heading there and that she should stay home" I nod my head continuing to drive in 5 hours I will see her again.
