"Love?" called Landon from outside the room I was staying in. I fell asleep earlier when we were done talking and I didn't notice that he carried me in this room.
"Come in," I said loudly and he opened the door. "What's up?" I asked still lying on the bed.
"The food's ready. Let's eat now?" he gently suggested.
"Hmm... I'm lazy." I pouted that made him chuckle.
"I'll bring it here, then." He winked and when he was supposed to open the door, I called his name. "Need anything?"
"Can you hug me in the meantime?" I smiled sweetly.
"My love's clingy now," he commented and walked towards me to lay down beside me and hugged me tightly. "Is this okay?" asked softly while caressing my hair.
I nod to say yes. We stayed like that for about five minutes and then I let go of our hug to stand up. "I'm fully charged now, love. Let's eat now downstairs?"
"Are you sure? I could bring it here if you say so." He offered and sat on the bed.
I shook my head and held my hand on him which he gladly grabbed. "No need to do so. Come on."
He sighed and stood up. "If you say so," he snorted.
We just held each other's hand up until we reached the lanai where there was a dining table set up. Everything was ready when we arrived and we just needed to be seated. My jaw dropped when it had candles and wine ready at the center. He set this up and just agreed when I said we should eat in the room.
"You prepared all this? For what?" I asked still looking at the table in front of me.
"To celebrate, of course. This day is not an ordinary day for us. I'm thankful for today and this is my way to show it." He smiled and let me be seated at the chair and then he sat down at the opposite of it.
"You put all your effort into preparing all of this and then you agreed to bring the food upstairs? Hey, do you want me to have regrets?" I sulked.
"Maybe you're tired so I don't want you to put all your energy into going down here so I don't bother forcing you. And no need to regret it, okay? I could do this every day. I could prepare this every chance I get so that you can see this every time." He smiled gently and pressed my hands a little. "You like this?"
"I love it. Thank you for doing all these, hmm? I appreciate it with all my heart." I stood up to hug him.
"Of course, you're my love, after all."
We spent the night giggling and laughing ourselves until we got too tired to do so. We walked at the seashore when the night was still young. We held hands while walking with smiles on our lips.
"Can we stay here a little bit longer? I don't want to go home yet," I sighed deeply.
"How long?" he asked.
"Let me rephrase it, I want to stay here for good. I don't want to go home." I pouted, looking at the sea.
He chuckles. "Why not? I would gladly do that, love."
I poked his biceps. "Stop joking around. You have work."
"I have enough money now. I could live without working for a hundred years." He shrugged his shoulder and smirked.
"Too much air in here," I commented.
"Jokes aside, love, we could go here every time you wanted to. You have a cafe to manage. In case you wanted to give up that cafe, then you could live here forever."
