Ridhima was busy folding and rightly setting up her newly bought clothes and accessories. Vansh took her shopping. It was her first outing after she got married. And it was their first outing as a couple too. It was actually ridhima’s wish to go shopping. She was bored being in the mansion 24/7 and wanted some fresh air.On the other side,Vansh was elated to hear that because she hardly demands anything for him. He bears the providing mindset that a man should work hard enough to provide best comforts to his family.
He was really happy to fulfill her wish . He offered to join her . Vansh postponed all his meetings of that day. He wanted the day just for both of them. For the first time in his life ,he was out in the world for a personal reasons. They had a lot of fun together. Though vansh had to spend hours helping ridhima choose sarees and ethinics for her. He was astonished to see huge varieties of material in the ladies section. It would be a big fat lie to say that he enjoyed this part of their outing. He didn’t.At all.
Later, they explored a few renowned cafes of the city where ridhima wanted to visit for years.To sum up , it was the best day of their life.

Ridhima heard her phone buzzing . She left her ongoing work in between and rushed to pick it thinking it to be a call from her aunt. She wanted to tell her aunt about her date with vansh.But the call turned out to be from her long distant relative.She was ridhima’s father cousin sister, Rita.
“Namaste Rita aunty”, Ridhima greeted her politely.

“Kush raho beta”( God,bless you child).I am glad you still remember us. I thought that you must have forgotten us as now you are the daughter in law of the Singhanias”, Rita said, taunting ridhima. To give a gist of rita’s character, she was like any other typical relative with all malice intentions for other children. She was a highly selfish and self centered woman. She had a daughter whom she always compared ridhima with. Rita's husband was a senior professor in a university so she had  lived a decent lifestyle which ridhima was devoid of.She had always taunted and humiliated ridhima and Dsouza for their lower middle class lifestyle. But since she got to know about ridhima’s marriage with the biggest businessman of the world, Vansh Rai Singhania, she was super jealous. What added salt to her wound seeing ridhima's happy and loving pictures with vansh which confirmed that she was actually fulfilled in the relationship. And not to forget about the media coverage of the party in Singhnia’s mansion four months back which was telecasted  in every household of india. She couldn't digest ridhima’s happiness and popularity. Even the other relatives of ridhima’s father were trying their best to get the reach of Dsouza and ridhima for their personal reasons. And why wouldn't they ? As who would leave the opportunity of being related with such a big businessman. Rita was irritated about all this as she knew that she was nowhere in front of ridhima now. She came to meet Dsouza today to know more about her but Dsouza was smart enough to understand her intentions and that is why she chose to call off the topic regarding ridhima . But Rita coaxed her to make her talk to ridhima . Dsouza gave her the call but didn't left her side . She was aware of her nature very well and wouldn't let her destroy her niece's happiness.

"It's not like that aunty . How can I forget you guys . You all are my family..I..", Ridhima was interrupted by Rita who mockingly said,"ab Jane bhi do na Ridhima . Ye saari baatein sirf sunane mein hi acchi lagti Hain . Aare ab bade gahr ki Bahu Kahan hum jaiso se baatein karein "(Leave it Ridhima. All these sugary talks are said to be pleasant to the ears only .After all why would the daughter in-law of the Singhanias would remember us ").
Ridhima was short of words . She was aware of Rita's character . But she chose to ignore it .

"Aur batao,kya haal Hain tumhara . TV mein toh badi kush lag rhi thi . Asaliyat mein bhi kya itni hi kush ho( how are you btw ? We saw you on  tv that day  and you seemed really happy . Are you this happy in your real life too ?), Rita questioned ,malice precisely dipping from her tone .
