The bunch is a loud one, making Jimin's headache only a tiny bit worse. The place they stop by is already packed with people Jimin vaguely can recognize from the set and many who he doesn't remember. It's a new experience for him, publishers aren't usually keen on drinking with writers, rather keep them at home, writing thousands of pages per hour.

He finds himself at a table with all familiar faces, Namjoon and Hoseok included. They seem to be making friends with Seokjin, who begged them all to call him Hyung, and Taehyung who seems to be loosening up from his shy demeanor.

When an empty chair next to Jimin gets pulled away he doesn't even look to the side, completely absorbed with stories from sets Seokjin has. Only when Seokjin stops his story to scream in joy does Jimin take a look to his side.

No other than Jeon Jungkook is sitting elbow to elbow with Jimin. He looks tired, his hair is falling right into his sleepy eyes but he looks happy, smiling at Seokjin.

"Sorry I'm late," Jungkook says, so quietly Jimin doubts that anyone other than him heard that.

There is a fresh shot glass pushed near Jungkook next to a plate of grilled meat, "You have to catch up." Namjoon says, his dimples on full display.

Jungkook groans, watching as Seokjin pours him some soju, the liquid dripping down the sides. He still takes the glass, drinking it all at once. Seokjin doesn't waste time, pouring him another one right as the glass hits the table.

"Come on, Jungkook-ah!" Seokjin says cheerfully. "No sleeping."

Two more shots in Jimin's jaw are almost on the floor. Seokjin is pouring him shot after shot. At this point, Seokjin could just pour a whole bottle straight into Jungkook's mouth.

"Okay," Jungkook huffs, watching Seokjin pour him another one. "I don't believe you guys drank this much already."

"We did!" Taehyung says proudly, stuffing his mouth with kimchi.

The second Namjoon and Jimin make eye contact he knows he is about to be snitched on. Jimin has been keeping it slow with the alcohol, wanting to feel at least alive on the set tomorrow morning. He knows his limits, and he knows that his hangovers can waver on for days sometimes.

"Actually," Namjoon starts. Jimin gives him his best puppy eyes, shaking his head. "Jimin is behind as well!"

The table erupts in a sudden "Ohhh" followed by soju pouring into his glass.

"Come on," Jimin whines, even though he is already reaching for the shot glass.

"What is it, Jimin-ssi?" Jungkook asks from next to him. "A lightweight?"

Jimin shoots Jungkook a glare, his eyebrows knitting together. Call Jimin whatever you want but never, ever call him a lightweight. Jimin mastered the art of drinking years ago.

"You wish," Jimin snarls, downing his shot right after.

Jungkook is giving him the same energy, eyes sharp, eyebrows furrowed. Jimin watches him down his shot.

"It's on," Jungkook says, making everyone at the table erupt, another bottle of soju already being opened.

The attention of everyone at the table is on them, not leaving them for even a second as the competition begins. Jimin has no idea why he is doing it but it gives him the adrenaline boost he needs right now. He no longer feels sleepy, all he feels is the urge to win, alcohol kicking in and a warm thigh pressed next to his making him feel weirdly light and tingly.
