Maybe he isn't that bad

One day, a good year into filming, Jimin walks on the set, making his way through the usual crowd with a warm cup of tea, taking his familiar route to his chair just to find the spot blank. The chair, his chair that he went from finding very uncomfortable to the best chair in the world, is simply not there.

Now, Jimin had a few slower days and he kind of asked God for something to happen but he takes it back if it means someone stole his chair .

"What are you standing here for?" Hoseok asks, looking at Jimin like he just fell through the roof.

Jimin stutters, shaken out of the initial shock, "What happened to my chair?"

"Oh!" Hoseok lights up evilly, Jimin already knows it's trouble. "You will love this." He stretches out "love" as he starts dragging Jimin closer to the set.

"I'm already hating it," Jimin groans, trying to take a sip from his plastic cup as Hoseok maneuvers them through the crew.

When Jimin starts to understand the situation, putting two and two together, or more like one and one, he wants to push on the breaks and stop the whole planet from spinning. He can see his chair, in a nice spot with a perfect view of the set, and right next to his beloved chair sits nobody else but Jimin's mortal enemy, Jeon Jungkook.

"Ta-da!" Hoseok makes a scene of showing Jimin his chair, getting Jungkook's attention, who looks up from his phone a bit confused, like he isn't fully awake yet.

"Oh, I'm already crying," Jimin chuckles dryly, eyeing just how close their chairs are.

Jungkook scrunches his face like Jimin just said something completely ridiculous, "Just go to the bathroom, I just finished my little breakdown."

Jimin closes his eyes, forcing his whole face to stay frozen, trying hard not to laugh. Sometimes Jungkook can be so funny but he simply refuses to give him that. Hoseok on the other hand laughs freely, his deep voice traveling around the high ceiling space.

"Good one," Hoseok tells Jungkook. "Well, see you guys once you turn the set into an MMA fighting ring."

"Hoseok," Jimin warns his friend, giving him a pleading look.

"Yeah," Jungkook agrees with Jimin, shaking his head at Hoseok. "How could you think we would do it for free? People would pay to see me pin that short man to the floor."

"The only pinned thing here will be your dick if you will call me short again," Jimin says in one breath, moving his chair away from Jungkook and taking a seat, not sparing Jungkook a single glance.

"So you want it in your hand?" Jungkook asks quietly, clearly trying to get Jimin to fight him.

Jimin ties his arms over his chest, stubbornly staring at one point far away, "Don't talk my way, I'm not here to keep you company."

Jimin sure makes a big deal out of sitting next to Jungkook, making sure people who come by know he is not enjoying Jungkook's whining and snarky remarks. Even if they are a little bit funny, he will just turn his head so Jungkook will never know Jimin even chuckled. That's what enemies do, they don't laugh at jokes the other makes.

Sometimes it's Jungkook who makes a scene out of Jimin being there, and even though he has all the power to just put Jimin back where he sat before, he never does that. It's becoming an unspoken rule, they can annoy each other for a bit, bicker about it and then go back to work as if it never has happened.

Of course, they don't mind informing anyone else about their little, and very specific, dynamic, so it's understandable that some people are walking around them on their tiptoes. Jimin can imagine that their small, petty arguments that are not serious in any shape or form probably look pretty serious from the side.

Sitting this close to Jungkook gives Jimin a better look into the professional side of the director, a side he could only see from afar and never pondered on it before. Upfront, he has to admit to himself, Jungkook seems professional, and what's important for Jimin is his deep understanding of the plot. On the rare occasion, they don't pretend the other doesn't exist even though they are sitting with their elbow touching, Jungkook will turn to Jimin, pointing with his ridiculously long finger to something and ask Jimin for deeper input.

Every time it happens Jimin isn't expecting it, earning a bit of teasing for his shocked expression.

Maybe that's what gets Jimin from absolutely hating Jungkook's presence next to himself to not hating it that much. It's a simple thing, to have the author and director communicating about something they are working on but for Jimin, it means a lot.

"Your arm is in my chair," Jimin hisses, pushing Jungkook's elbow.

Jungkook throws him a glare, eyes snapping to him for a second before he does back to the actors in the middle of a scene, "Now you have yours in my chair," Jungkook points out, pushing Jimin out of his space with the whole arm, their whole sides touching.

Jimin pushes back, "Why are you in my space?"

Their childish fight takes a while, until Namjoon comes out of nowhere, throwing them a disgusting look, "You can just push those chairs apart, you know?" He asks them with a raised brow, not waiting for them to answer before he is back in motion.

They jump apart, as far as they can go. Jimin feels like a kid caught doing something bad.

"Yeah, you can move if you want to," Jungkook speaks straight ahead of himself, eyes glued to the set.

Jimin bites his bottom lip. He knows but for some reason, he enjoys his chair this close.
