You and Tara met on the first day of practice in college, instantly clicking with one another. All of your teammates could not find one of you without the other. Your teammates would call you both dumb and dumber, but not because of your close friendship. It was because of how oblivious you are with each other's feelings.
Even when the two of you were signed by the Washington Spirits back in 2021, still oblivious. Your teammates basically had to take it into their own hands to help you both out.

Practice had just ended and Tara had started walking to the locker room with Trinity and Ashley. After laying on the grass for a couple of minutes, you make your way to the locker room, only to stop before the door.
"You doing anything after practice." Trinity asks.
"Uh, yeah. I'm actually taking someone on a date." Tara answers shyly.
"Is it with you know who?"
"I gotta ask first, but hopefully."
You've heard enough, so you go into the locker room to gather your things and quickly left, not sparing a glance at anyone.
As you were just finished getting dressed to lay around, you've got a knock on your front door. Not bothering to look through the peephole, you open it to see Tara dressed nicely with a bouquet of flowers in hand.
"Tara? What are you doing here?" You were confused.
"I wanted to ask you something?" She walks passed you into your apartment.
"Me? But don't you have a date you gotta go to?" Now Tara was the one confused.
"What date?"
"I heard you talking to Trin about going on a date later."
"We're you listening to our conversation?"
"Not purposefully. I'm allowed to be in the locker room." You scrunch your eyebrows and had a pout on your face that made Tara giggle. "Hey! What're you giggling about for?"
"Trin is right. You are oblivious."
"What do you mean? Just tell me."
"We were talking about you! I wanted to ask you on a date to hopefully take you out on a date tonight."
"Really? But you've rejected me so many times!" Tara is confused once again.
"When?"
"Whenever I ask you to get dinner you always call it hanging out!"
"I thought that was like our usual getting food together thing?"
"I'm not the only oblivious one then. Ash was right!"
"Guess we're just meant to be." After a moment of silence, "Would you like to go on a date with me then?" Tara asks, holding the flowers out.
"Let me get changed."

"What are you thinking about?" Tara snaps you out of your reminiscing.
"Thinking about when we first got together."
"Can't believe how clueless we both were."
"I know. Guess the names fit us."
"Dumb and dumber."
"You're definitely dumber." You state running away.
"Hey!"
