"Aaaand, that's the last one."

Sam placed the large box in the living room, huffing out a breath.

"Look at you. My big and strong girlfriend."

Sam stops what she's doing to flex her arms at you, making you blush. You've recently moved from America to London, not wanting to be apart from your Sam any longer.

After a long few hours of unpacking boxes, you and Sam collapse onto the couch, surrounded by half-opened boxes that still need to be dealt with.

Everytime a new box is open, you both share stories about each and every trinket that you come across, having a story to tell about every single one.

"Do you remember this one?" You ask her, holding up a framed picture.

"Of course I do. One of the best moments of my life." Sam told with a soft smile in her lips.

As you settled into your new home— Sam's home that you've moved into— Sam felt a bit giddy. Excited to share another chapter of both of your lives, now in the same country, in the same home.

The next morning, you and Sam had woken up to the gentle shine of the sunlight streaming though the curtains. With newfound feeling of domesticity, you've both have been getting ready for the day in the quiet of the morning.

It was like the honeymoon phase all over again. One you weren't sure would break anytime soon.

In the following days, you and Sam had navigated a routine in your now shared life. From getting up to the morning to winding down for the day. On Driday nights, Sam knew you loved to do face masks, but now it was something you'd convinced her to join.

Sam showed you all around the neighborhood, discovering some hidden gems that even Sam hasn't seen before— a café, bookstore, and a little takeout place that you and Sam would definitely be ordering from again.

As time passes, you realized that home wasn't just a place, but the sanctuary you built together and most importantly the person you share that with.
