Cheryl feels awe and privileged to be staying in such a beautiful huge penthouse owned by David Anderson which gives a panoramic breathtaking view of Manhattan.
Nicole feels overwhelmed.
Cheryl: How rich is he?
Nicole: I don't know. I never asked.
CJ's talking with her brother. "Who will be the host for the New Year's Eve party?"
David: It's us.
CJ: Oh.
David: The building next to do this, is where the party will take place.
CJ: Not bad.
David glances at Nicole and Cheryl.
Just below David's penthouse are Caroline's and CJ's condo units.
CJ: Can I just sleep here instead?
David: The room next to mine is big.
CJ: Okay, I'll take that room.
David: Who will stay in your unit?
CJ: It's Steven and Maggie with the kids.
David: Oh yeah.
Nicole walks to David.
David: Hungry?
Nicole: Um yeah it's almost lunch.
CJ: Oh goodness I almost forgot. I made reservations for us.
David: Where?
CJ: Olio's.
David: Greenwich Village.
CJ: Yeah.
They all have lunch together, they are later joined by Ken, Jade, Paul, Celina, and Isabelle. They were enjoying the Italian cuisine, having a nice bottle of wine while having a great conversation. Cheryl was talking to Paul since Paul's family owns a hospital.

Ken: We're not dating.
David: You two are getting close to each other.
Ken: You're aware of my feelings and intentions towards your sister.
David: She had just broken up with her boyfriend.
Ken: I know.
David: Kenneth, I have nothing against you but I don't find it okay when CJ is flirting with you.
Ken: Just let her be, I don't mind if she's only playing around with me.
David: I hope you're not taking advantage of her.
Ken: Dave, I want to be with CJ. I want her to be mine but I am not rushing things with her. She also told me that she's not ready. I guess we will let her enjoy her freedom and space.
David: Yeah but you two are flirting with each other.
Ken: I will not do anything foolish.
David: Aren't you seeing Aiya anymore?
Ken: No.
David: And Lilah?
Ken: Lilah is a friend.
David: I don't want her to get hurt.
Ken: I am aware of that.
