Once the Latina girl said twenty-five years, it made Beverly freeze. She couldn't believe she didn't want to believe it. How could it have been twenty-five years when she and the boys had only been in the darkroom for a few hours?

"What? No. No, no, no. Th-Th-That's impossible," Reggie says, shaking his head. He looks at Alex and continues, "After we floated out of the ambulance, all we did was go to that weird, dark room where Alex cried." He gestured to Alex.

In a high-pitched voice, Alex says, "Well... I don't think..." He looks at the other boys, "I think we were all pretty upset. Okay." He dismissively chuckles as he finishes talking.

"But that was just for an hour," Luke says, confused. He looks at Julie, "We just showed up here."

"He's right. It couldn't have been twenty-five years ago. You must have looked at something wrong." Beverly said, nodding, trying to convince herself what she was saying was right. But deep down, Beverly knew the truth.

Julie shows them the article on her phone.
"Look. I'm just telling you what my phone says." The group leans forward to get a closer look at the article. "See? You died in 1995. When you were seventeen, it's now 2020."

The group leans back, looks of realization on their faces. Beverly couldn't believe it was confirmed that it had been twenty-five years since they died.

"So, this is the future?" Reggie says in amazement. Rolling her eyes, the Latina lowers her phone and puts it away.

"Wait. So... so, it has been twenty-five years," Alex confirms. "I have been crying for twenty-five years? How is that possible?" He exclaims while waving his hands around and emphasizing each word.
