The next day, the four ghosts decided to surprise Julie at school to see how she does when she sings Bright for her teacher. When the four ghosts poof into the gymnasium where Julie is, an assembly occurs. A girl in a pink wig and her group are dancing and singing. The girl in the pink wig does most of the singing, while the other girls are primarily backup dancers.
Julie looks at the four ghosts and asks them, "What are you guys doing here?'
"We wanna see you stick it to the man. Isn't that right, boys? Bev?" Luke turns to the other three ghosts. Alex is smiling and has his arms crossed over his chest, Beverly is resting on Alex's shoulder, and Reggie is staring at Carrie's group with his mouth wide open.
Alex, Beverly, Julie, and Luke look at a wide-eyed Reggie when he says, "Man, I miss high school."
Julie looks at Carrie's group, followed by Alex, Beverly, and Luke. Beverly sees that and grows jealous and nudges Reggie, making him look away from the girl group. Reggie turns to the girl and mouths 'sorry' then grabs Beverly's hand, squeezing it.
