It's been a month since that whole Jayce chasing after Trenton for whatever reason situation. I can say, that was weird.
I know y'all been wondering how me and Jayce go back. Well he used to date my sister and drug her into a dangerous situation. I ain't like him from the start.
Right now me and Tavaris are laying down watching a movie. Before y'all jump to conclusions, no we don't date. And I can't say we talk, kind of.
"Look girl, I don't know why I'm doing this." Vanessa said on the movie.
"Doing what?"
"Being with this man, when I told myself that I ain't focused on no man. I'm only focused on my family and my success." I sat up in bed and thought for a minute.
Flashback :
Deli, when are you going to start seeing somebody?" Coming back into reality, I nearly chocked on my sandwich.
"Now Nia, what do I always tell you?"
"You don't have time for no type of communication in that type of way. My only lovers are me, my friends and family." She said while rolling her eyes. I smiled at her.
"At least you remembered!"
I felt something touch my arm. I turned around and was looking face to face with Tavaris.
"You okay?" I nodded, brushing his arm off my shoulder.
"I'm going."
"Where?"
"Getting my life back on track, I don't need a man interfering with my success."
"What the hell Delilah, you listening to a got damn movie that nearly came out 20 fucking years ago?"
"Don't fucking raise your voice at me Tavaris! And no I'm not, it was something I used to do before all this." I waved my hand around.
"All of what? Me?" I sighed.
"Answer me!"
"Yes you okay! I've always told myself never get involved with another man, keep my grind on me and my family. Cause you never know if a nigga gone do you like yo last." I looked down.
He lifted my chin up, making me look at him.
"It seems like you trying to compare me to Trenton huh?" I looked away.
"Look at me." I looked up at him.
"I ain't Trenton baby. I got way much more respect than him to even lay my hands on a precious female like you. He wasn't even raised right, plus all men ain't the same."
I rolled my eyes. He looked at me confused.
"Why that face?"
"Thats what they all say." He frowned.
"Look here, I don't mean to sound cocky but I got my shit together. Mama ain't raise no fuck boy." Tears slid down my cheek.
"Hey, why you crying? Did I say something wrong?" I shook my head.
"Then what is it?"
"Would you ever rape me?"

I was taken aback by her question.
"No, why the hell would i-" I looked down at her and she nodded her head. I pulled her into my arms and held her.
