2: 04 PMThere was some swearing in Hungarian as Dominik moved to pull Illy against his chest, "Don't even think about it. We've already discussed this."
When she hid her face in his shirt, giggling softly, he looked down at her and smiled, "Well aren't you adorable."
"Illyana," Attila's tone was loud and clear and it held a dark threat, "Come with me."
"She's not well," Dominik buried his face in the crook of her neck, "If you had even thought to check on her you'd know that."
Attila didn't take his eyes off her, "She doesn't look too 'exhausted' to steer and I have no time to waste," He then crossed his arms over his broad chest, "Let her up."
Dominik tensed up at that, "Attila-"
"Illyana," Attila rumbled, accent thick, "On your feet."
Illy felt a wave of nausea hit, her stomach churning with nervous energy.
What was this feeling; fear? Dread?
It was as if her body knew something she didn't, perhaps her subconscious mind was telling her about the danger that awaited her if she didn't do as she was told.
His new rule brooked nothing but obedience.
Her knees were weak as she wriggled out from under Dominick and got to her feet.
The sound of Attila's voice had frazzled every nerve in her body and left her vibrating in panic, her heart fighting to beat correctly in her chest.
His gaze was locked on her like a hawk's and she felt her breath catch in her throat as he held her in that stare while she slowly made her way over and when she stood before him, she wondered what he thought of her attire as he looked down at her, but his mouth was a firm line and his inhibitors gave nothing away.
Dominik sighed, getting to his feet, "You need to start prioritizing her well-being for God's sake's," He said, "I'm giving you a half hour. Anything else is hazardous to her health. I'll be collecting her at..." He looked at his watch, "2:45. That should give you more than enough time."
Attila shifted closer to her and when she looked up, the cold blue of his left eye behind his glasses seemed almost freezing.
Illyana want to run and hide but she stood, a trembling deer in the clutches of a deadly predator; afraid of being eaten but too scared to move.
She could feel her skin buzzing with his proximity as her heart was pounding in her chest, the rapid thump-thump-thump deafening in her ears.
She took in a shaky breath, twiddling her thumbs as she shifted her weight gently from one leg to the next in a nervous habit, her gaze dropping to the marble floors and the reflection of Attila's towering frame.
