LAUREN Opened up her phone, Her eyes full of tears as she scrolled through her texts, her recent text was sent to Colby, she Hit his name and pressed the call button, Lauren hoped that Sam and Colby would let her come live with them , she had officially had nowhere else to go due to her parents divorcing and her dad kicking her out, Sam and Colby were her best friends, they'd been best friends since Freshman year of Highschool, they lived Right down the road from one another.
Lauren began to pack her bag when Colby finally answered the phone "Laur?" Colby asked, the sound of his voice causing the Tears to stream more as she got ready to break the news, Colby could hear Lauren crying through the phone "are you okay?" Colby asked "Colbs, I'm officially homeless, my parents divorce finalized today, my dad kicked me out." Lauren said "can you ask Sam if I can come live with you guys? We do videos together anyway so can I Move in with you guys?" Lauren asked.
"Let me ask him and I'll text you back!" Colby said "okay." Lauren said as she hung up the phone finishing up her packing, her phone Dinged as she looked at the text "he said yes, I can't wait for you to get here. I need to talk to you anyways." The text from Colby read, Lauren finished packing up everything she wanted and needed and then headed to her car, she put her bags into the car and then drove to Sam and Colby's house.
Once Lauren arrived at the house she was greeted by Sam and Colby in the yard, Sam hugged her tightly "I'm so sorry for what happened, but now your here with us your new family." Sam said smiling, Colby made his way up to Lauren as Sam gave him an approving nod "Lauren, I'm so sorry." Colby said as he hugged her, They hugged for a little while almost too long, As Colby released her from the hug he met her eyes and there it was the spark they'd felt freshman year, it was still there.
Colby smiled as he looked at her not loosing eye contact "Come inside Lauren we'll talk once you get your stuff settled in." Colby said as Lauren smiled walking inside, Was this really happening? We're they about to happen? Was this the chance she was waiting for?
Colby looked at Sam as they walked into the house "I think I love her." Colby said, Lauren overheard this and she felt her heart light up, she hid her smile As She walked into the spare room "go tell her man, Before she decides to get with someone else, she's liked you since freshman year man she just didn't want to ruin the friendship." Sam said "how could she ever ruin our friendship? I've liked her since freshman year too but I didn't think she felt the same way." Colby said.
Colby walked to the room "hey laur." He said as he sat on the bed "yeah colbs?" Lauren asked looking over at Colby "come here for a second." Colby said as Harleigh walked over to him and sat down beside him "What's up?" Lauren asked "I like you Lauren, I've liked you since freshman year and as much as I've tried to move on and push it away I can't, I can't hide how I feel, Lauren I'm in love with you and I'm tired of hiding it, please be my girlfriend ?" Colby asked.
Lauren froze as she looked into Colby's eyes "Colby I.. I've liked you since freshman year too, of course I'll be your girlfriend!" Lauren said happily, Colby grabbed Lauren's Cheek and leaned in kissing her, Lauren felt the spark Build as they kissed, lauren pulled away and smiled biting her lip "yeah I could get used to this." She said smiling, Colby smiled as he pushed her hair behind Her ear.
"But Since we're a couple why don't we share your room so this room is open for whenever anyone else decides to stay?" Lauren asked, Colby looked at her with a wide smile "I'd love that." Colby said as He helped her gather her bags taking them to his room, Sam stepped in the doorway "about time you both made it official, Y'all have liked each other for years, What stopped y'all from getting together sooner?" Sam asked leaning against the doorframe.
"Fear and anxiety over the way things would change." Lauren said "Yeah I mean neither one of us knew if each of us liked one another, and then there was the fear of what would change and happen, You have to take these things slow and not rush into it, I'm just glad we're finally together." Colby said smiling as he took Lauren's hand intertwining their fingers, "I'm glad y'all are happy, I've been waiting for my best friends to get together!" Sam said as he hugged them both.
Lauren laughed as she and Colby hugged Sam back before Sam left the room, Lauren finished unpacking with the help of Colby and then she sat on the bed "Why is your room so cold?" Lauren asked rubbing her arms "oh shit sorry." Colby said as he grabbed one of his sweatshirts "here put this on until I change the Thermostat in here." Colby said.
Lauren smiled and Threw on the sweatshirt As she Walked over to Colby "It's so big." Lauren laughed "it's cute." Colby replied as he wrapped his arms around her waist, Lauren smiled and blushed as she wrapped her arms around his neck, He bent down and kissed her again " I love you Lauren, I'm so glad you're officially here forever." Colby said as he met her eyes.
Lauren smiled as she Looked into his eyes "yeah me too, I love you Colby Brock." Lauren said "I love you too Lauren Fallon." Colby said smiling as he touched his forehead to hers, Lauren smiled as she took his hand intertwining their fingers, Katrina had arrived to the house and Colby and Lauren met her and Sam in the living room, Colby let Lauren sit in his lap as they all discussed the plan for tomorrow "Alright so we're gonna go to Bowers mansion, sound like a Plan? It's never investigated before." Sam said "then we do it." Lauren said "as a medium the unexplored and uninvestigated Places are the places you want to investigate and explore." Lauren said.
Colby smiled "I agree let's do it!" He said "then we all need to head to bed we have a look day ahead of us tommorow." Sam said as they all headed to their rooms, once in the room Lauren Looked through her clothes "shit." She mumbled "what's wrong?" Colby asked "I forgot to get pajamas, I have nothing to wear for bed." Lauren said sighing, Colby got up off the bed and walked over to his dresser pulling out his t shirts "here wear this." He said handing her the Shirt.
Lauren smiled and Took the shirt heading into the bathroom to take a quick shower, she then returned to the room and climbed into the bed with Colby "My shirt looks so good on you." he said as she laid in his arms, Colby held her As they fell asleep.
