The sun was on my face signaling me to get up. I hate it when the weekend goes by fast. I sat up, then found Lexi wasn't next to me. It's probably a good thing because she would be asking a lot of questions. My throat is sore. I walk over to the bathroom mirror. I see a nice dark bruise in the shape of that man's hand. Damn it. I have started working at the company today. I should go see a doctor but I do not have time. I have to get the office. I took off the dress and the wig, I was too tired to change last night. I take a quick shower. Wrapped in the towel, I head to the closet. I start wrapping my chest. I throw on a tank top over the wrap. I put on a black suit with a black coat over my shoulders. I tie the laces on the dress shoes. I look in the mirror one last time and I look great. I walk out of the closet and out of my bedroom. I see Lexi is ready to go.
"Good morning my Lord." She bows her head. I reply and we head out of the car in the driveway. Cool, I have a driver. Lexi and I get in the car. My father is already there. It takes about twentyish minutes to get there. When we arrive, it's a very tall building. I walk into the building and see a front desk.
"Good morning Mr. Wood" the receptionist replied. I nodded in response. Lexi and I come to the elevator. We get in and head to the top floor. I walk out and see desks with people. The moment we walked out of the elevator, the room went quiet and they were staring at me. I make a blank face. I start heading my office. I hear whispers and giggles from the females in the room. I shoot the two girls whispering an icy stare and they stop talking but they blush. This is going to get annoying fast. Deep breath Raylee, they don't know that you are pretending to my brother. I do say though, we have pretty good looks. I head into the office and father sorting through papers.
"Hey father." I said, sitting in on the couch by the door.
"Hey Ray, glad to see you get to see the building. We are in the middle of trying to launch a new app." He said.
"Yes, I am aware. I did some research on it. Do you want my help?" I asked. He looked at me but he let me take over. I start looking over the papers one by one. Hm. I start looking over the things that need more attention. Within a few minutes I had the stacks of paper organized.
"Finished." I stood up and let him take a look.
"Ray, you are amazing." He was in shock.
"We need a venue first, then we need a caterer and a guest list. These are the ones that need your attention first." I said, standing over him and pointing at the papers.
"Oh, you also need a tester for the app the day you launch it, so your app needs to be ready to have a beta tester." I said.
"You are so smart. I maybe I took the wrong kid." We both laugh.
"But we need another company to test it and go over it. It will be beneficial to have another company test it." I said.
"I was afraid of that, so Asher Rodriquez said we can discuss over lunch..." He looks at his watch then jumps up.
"Which we better get to the restaurant now?" He grabs the paperwork regarding to test the app.
"Wait, we?" I question
"Yes, I need you there. You will be the one pitching it," he said. So we walk out of the office. I advised Lexi to stay behind. She knows the job of an assistant; she will finish stuff here. Father and I get to the car and head to the place. We arrive with ten minutes to spare. We get a table and wait for Asher. While I finished going over to say, I didn't notice the guy showed up. My father taps my shoulder causing me to jump. I place the papers down and stand up to greet him. When I met his eyes, I realized that he was the man from the nightclub.
"Uh, good afternoon, Mr. Rodriquez. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Ryan Wood." I said shaking his hand. I try to not speak with my accent. I have been practicing.
