Chapter 10

??? POV

I can't believe they let that measly kid escape! I started throwing shit all over the conference room. All my men were watching me. My assistant walks in to see what is all the noise and to make sure that I didn't kill anyone.

"Ma'am? Are you okay?" he said. Everyone sat in silence, terrified to even blink. They failed me.

"Do I look okay to you?!" I shout at him.

"What happened?"

"That Wood kid got away and two of my men failed to kidnap him, instead I am sent their bodies in bags." I throw another flower vase against the walls.

"He was my one shot to get Leo to pay back his fucking debt." I said.

"We have to find him. Search everywhere. I need him alive. NOW!!" I yell. All my men were starting to scurry out the door to start looking for Ryan.

Raylee's POV

I wake up to find myself back in that room with those men. My hands and feet are bound but I can't make a noise. One of the guys has a... from what I assume is a gang or clan emblem. Why didn't I notice it before? Maybe I did but was too worried about getting free. I studied it, then he turned around and came at me.

I jolted awake screaming. Lexi was sitting on the couch, came rushing over to me and pulled me into a hug. I returned it. I felt my body tremble. Everything that I had learned yesterday, made my head spin. One thing for sure, I will not be living here any longer.

"Lexi..." I said pulling away.

"What?" she asked

"Let's pack my things. I want to go to the villa mother gave me." I spoke. She nodded. She knew I was hiding something but could tell that I didn't want to talk. I walk to the closet and reach for my compression wraps. The bruising them went away, I sighed and put them on. I have to make them tighter because last time, they almost fell off. We packed our bags and walked out of the room. We walked down the stairs and headed to the door. The butler stops us.

"Where do you think you're going young master?" he asked. This guy doesn't know when to back down does he?

"I bought a villa. So, I'm moving there." I spoke. I forcefully shoved past him. Mother had prepared a car for me. She must have known that I was leaving. Leo doesn't even come to see goodbye. Honestly, I can't say that I'm not surprised. He only ever cared about the business.

"Tell my father I see him at the launch tomorrow." I spoke. I shut the door and walked to the dark blue car. I open the trunk and throw the bags in. I get into the driver's seat while Lexi gets into the passenger's seat. We drove to the villa.

"Um, I found out that Leo used my mother for her money to build the company. When I was five, she took me to France. She wanted my brother to go with her, but dad needed someone to be the heir. I didn't want to live with him any further. He's probably the reason why Ryan disappeared." I spoke. I paused not wanting to say this, but I have a feeling she's not who she says she is.

"I remember something from that... there was emblem on the guys that attacked me. I know you are hiding something from me, but I will not force it out of you." I said.

"What was the emblem? I will tell you when we get to the villa." she told me. I didn't think she would do that. I nodded to her sentence. I turn down the down to the villa. After a couple minutes, the villa came to view. It was breathtakingly beautiful. I pull up the doors and see the staff waiting for us. I park the car and get out. The butler walks to greet me.

"Miss Raylee, welcome. Your mother told us about your arrival."

"Cool, I don't have to hide myself." I said

"Yes, your mother informed me about your situation. We all know the risks if we tell anyone about your identity." he said.

"My name is Charles. I am the head butler." I shake his hand.

"Good. I don't have to threaten you if you spill my secret." I said. This place feels familiar. He had some staff members haul my bags to the master bedroom. He suggested a tour and I agreed. We walked up the marble stairs. We entered the main foyer. It has gold crown molding on the ceiling. Staircases on either side of two dark red doors. On the first floor, we have the main foyer, to the left is the parlor room, down the center leads to the dining room/ kitchen, and to the right leads to the gardens and gazebo. The backyard consists of gardens of a lot of different flowers. Up the stairs to the left are my bedroom/office. Then to the right are the guest rooms. Lexi headed to the right, and I went to the left. I headed to my bedroom. The villa is surrounded by a forest. So, no one will be able to see me. I walk to the closet and undress. I take off the wraps. I threw on a tank top and leggings. I forget what it felt like to dress like this. I always had to wear men's clothing. I walk out of the bedroom and down the hall to my office. Lexi is waiting for me. I sigh because I'm dreading this talk.

"Asher has been looking for you since the nightclub where you first met." she paused

"It's a good thing that I got rid of all evidence that I was there. If he ever found out, it could be dangerous for both of us." I sigh with a sad look.

"I am an undercover FBI agent. We fear that your brother's disappearance has something to do with your father. I have never once pretended to not care about you. I am worried and since you were attacked, I was freaking out. I was so scared something happened to you. Once Asher told me that you were able to kill all three of those guys, I felt better. We need to work on your skills." she said. So, this whole time, she was an undercover agent trying to get dirt on my dad and this mystery person who gave me money to save the company. My father could have been something to Ryan? I believe it considering what he did to my mom.

"Okay, I will help you." I said.

"Really?" she asked

"Yes, I want my brother back. Our twenty-second birthday is the day after the launch." I said.

"Okay. Lets get to work. What should I do about Asher? He is not going to stop looking for you." she said

"Ugh. Okay, I will have to meet him and tell him to back off. I will have to go in secret. As for training, I have someone who can help. I met someone when back in France, we were good friends. They moved here when we were sixteen." I said. I dismiss Lexi. I honestly don't even care that Lexi turned out to be an agent. It will actually work better for me since she is. I can. We leave the office and head to our separate rooms. I started looking through my stuff, before he left he gave me his phone number... and a kiss. I left the part out that he was my first love and he confessed his feelings for me. I pray that it still works. After searching through everything, I finally found it. I walk over and grab my phone. I dial the number. It rings a couple times...

"Hello?" a deep velvety voice spoke. I put a determined look on my face before speaking.
