I returned to Vincent, placing the car battery on the ground. He was loading bullets into magazines at the time, preparing for what was to come.
He looked up at me and then picked up the battery, inspecting it before saying "... yup, this should do it."
He slotted the battery in and then closed the hood with a metallic clunk. "That'll be all for you then, you can go." He said to me.
I simply shook my head as a response and said "No, no, I'm not leaving."
He pulled the car key out of his pocket, the key jingling noisily "Why's that?" He asked.
"Reality finally hit." I responded.
