"What—?" You spoke quietly as he went ahead and pulled you to his side as he turned his attention to the reporter.
Diego continues to tease you as he talks to the reporter. "Y/N is just a bit jealous of my success. I mean, who can blame her really? With my absence from the local races, she was on top. Until I returned today." He gestures to himself and smiles.
He continued, "But don't worry, I'm sure I can find it in my heart to take it easy on you at the next race. I wouldn't want you to feel too bad for losing to me." Diego chuckles and winked at you, placing his arm around your waist and holding you close to him.
The reporter chuckled and wrote down some notes.
You wanted to speak up and say something but the look Diego was giving you forced you to stay quiet.
Diego continued to tease you throughout the interview, trying to get a reaction out of you. But you remain silent, not wanting to play into his game and give him what he is looking for.
It's clear that Diego sees you as a rival, but he also sees you as someone he can manipulate and control.
The reporter continued with the questions, once asking, "Mr. Brando, what made you decide to come back to the local racing scene?"
"It's really simple, I wanted to remind everyone who the best jockey is." Diego replied. You clenched your jaw at his answer.
The reporter laughed a bit, "And is that so? It had nothing to do with Ms. Y/N perhaps?" they asked with a smirk.
"Well, I've been visiting Y/N in my free time. I've also been close with her legend of a father, Mr. Louis" Diego replied with a smug grin on his face.
You quickly looked at him, wondering why he admitted that.
The reporter seemed amused, jotting some notes, "Mr. Louis is quite the legend in the racing world. I heard somewhere that he was an idol for you, Mr. Brando."
"Oh, yes. I'm honored to be considered his friend now. Maybe it's my closeness with his daughter." Diego winked at you as you decide to attempt to walk away.
He once again pulled you back firmly, holding you at the waist once more. The reporter's attention is drawn to this interaction.
"Well, you know what they say. Keep your friends close and your rivals even closer." Diego smiles coyly, and he continues to hold you with his hands on your waist.
He seemed to be trying to show the reporter that you and him were growing closer, and that it was normal for him to hold you like that. He was also trying to make the reporter curious about your relationship with him.
The reporter decided to finally ask you a question, "Care to elaborate on this closeness Mr. Brando is talking about?"
You opened your mouth to say something to the reporter. Diego, worried on what you might say, decides to quickly lean in and kiss you on the lips with a firm grip around your waist.
You were taken aback by this action as you attempt to push him off you, but his grip around you leads to no room to budge as he passionately makes out with you in front of the reporter.
Eventually he pulled away and turned to the reporter with a smirk, you pant heavily and turn your face away to hide your surprise expression.
The reporter chuckles a bit to write this down, "Thank you for your time." They nod and turn to exit.
Diego looks over at you as he starts chuckling when he notices the state your in.
"What the hell..." you breathe heavily as you stared at him with a pissed off expression.
